The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1122

Chapter 1122

“What do you mean he has nothing to do with you? You’re pregnant with his baby, so how can you say he has nothing to do with you? If you don’t want to help me, then forget it. Why do you say that?” Alicia exclaimed angrily.

Just then, another car stopped at the concession stand, and Rosalie got out of the car.

Alicia frowned when she saw there was a person coming over. She said, “Forget it. I’ll come to visit you next time.” Then she left in a hurry.

Rosalie and Alicia passed by each other. Rosalie walked to Amelia and asked, “Who is that woman? Is she your friend?”

“Actually, she’s hardly a friend.” Amelia said faintly, “She is my former cellmate. When I was in jail, she looked out for me. I ran into her a few days ago, but I realized she was using me to get close to Warren for business negotiations. She wasn’t genuinely interested in reconnecting with me.”

When she heard this, Rosalie couldn’t help but let out a sigh. “People can be quite complex. Sometimes you believe someone is good, but then sometimes, you think they are not as good as you thought.”

“Yes. People are really complex, and as time passes, they inevitably change,” Amelia said.

“Was she the one who helped to cover your whereabouts and evade Warren’s search after you were released from prison?” Rosalie inquired further.

“No.” Amelia shook her head. “I owe a lot to the person. Without her, Aiden and I would have been much worse. She came out of the prison earlier than me. I don’t know why she was imprisoned in the first place, but I think with her ability, even if she gets out of prison, she will live a good life.”

In truth, she had longed to meet that person again over the years but never managed to cross paths with her. Furthermore, she had no leads to track her down. Despite the substantial help received, all she knew was the person’s name.

“If it’s meant to be, you two will cross paths again, sooner or later,” Rosalie reassured.

“I hope so.” Amelia smiled. “By the way, why are you here?”

“To send you an invitation card!” Rosalie said and took out a banquet invitation from her bag. “I just came from Lillian’s side. Yasmin is going to reach one month old, and they’re planning a sip and see party. Since Lillian and Callum only had a civil marriage and no wedding ceremony, Callum wants this party to be quite grand. It also doubles as a way to set the record straight for Lillian and to announce her status to the public, so the media won’t spread any rumors.”

“Well… Does the banquet have any dress code?” Amelia said. After all, she didn’t have any formal gown. If she attended the banquet in casual outfits, she would make herself a joke.

Rosalie knew what Amelia was worried about, so she said, “Both you and Aiden can come to me first on that day. I will prepare the outfits for you!”

“You shouldn’t be,” Amelia said hurriedly.

“Why not? I am your best friend and Aiden’s godmother. If you insist on standing on ceremony with me, I will be angry,” Rosalie said.

Amelia felt warm in her heart and didn’t refuse anymore.

“By the way, when I came out of Lillian’s house, I saw that little boy from the Woolbright family again,” Rosalie said.

“He went to Lillian’s place again?”

“Yes, Lillian said that the child would go to visit Yasmin one or two days a week. It seems that the child really cares about her.” Rosalie muttered, “I don’t know why the child cares so much about Yasmin. Yasmin is just a baby now. What’s special about her?”

Unfortunately, the boy from the Woolbright family refused to explain why.

“We’ll know later. At least now the child should harbor no malicious intention toward Yasmin,” Amelia said.

“That’s right. It can be said that the boy saved the life of Yasmin and Lillian,” Rosalie said. Then, she turned to look at Amelia and asked, “How are you doing with Warren? Are you really going to divorce him after the baby is born?”

Amelia lowered her head, glanced at her abdomen, and gently nodded while she hummed a light response.

Chapter 1122

When she heard that, Rosalie knew that Amelia was still unwilling to accept Warren, so she stopped talking about this topic.

After all, in terms of relationship, the wearer knew where the shoe pinched. No matter what decision Amelia made, Rosalie would silently support her.

If Amelia wanted to be with Warren, she would congratulate them on their reconciliation and prepare a good gift for them.

If Amelia wanted to raise the child alone, Rosalie would help her.

“Put away the invitation card for the sip and see party. On that day, I’ll send a car to pick you, Mrs. Haab, and Aiden up,” Rosalie said and left.

When she looked at the invitation card, Amelia caressed her lower abdomen gently.

The age gap between the two children was less than a year, but Yasmin would be the apple of both the White and the Quinn families’ eye. She would bask in the love of her parents and lead the life of an admired little princess.

In contrast, she would be raising the baby in her belly on her own. When the child was born, it wouldn’t have the same presence of a father as Aiden did. Even if Warren visited the child occasionally, their

relationship wouldn’t compare to the bond between a father and children in a traditional family.

When she looked ahead, she couldn’t help but wonder, “Will the ch blame me for not giving him or her a complete home?”

Amelia smiled bitterly. “I’m sorry. I can’t give you a complete home, bu still want you to come and see the world. I will do my best to protect you and shower you with a lot of love!”

Naturally, Yasmin’s sip and see party held by the White family attracted much attention.
