The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1124

Chapter 1124

Alicia watched the scene from a distance with disgust on her face. “Amelia clearly came here with Warren, yet she brazenly denied it. Does she take me for a fool?”

Ryan thoughtfully commented, “There’s more to your friend than meets the eye. Despite being an ex-convict, she is very well treated by Warren. It would be impossible to get into her position without any schemes. That said, even if she is pregnant, she will never be given official recognition as his wife.”

“An ex-convict…” These words seemed to trigger Alicia, causing her eyes to darken.

She, too, was an ex-convict. Although hated talking about it, Ryan didn’t care and would even make fun of her time in prison in front of his friends.

Sometimes, she couldn’t help wondering if it meant that Ryan would also never recognize her as his wife. She pondered, ‘Even if I give birth to a son for him, would he make me his wife officially?

In his eyes, I’m no more than an ex-convict, only good for fooling around but never deserving of marriage.

Warren accompanied Amelia to Matilda’s side and put a plate of foo front of her.

“Matilda, what else do you want to eat? I’ll get it,” Warren offered.

“It’s fine. I’ve had enough,” Matilda hurriedly said.

“In that case, I’ll get some for Amelia.” Warren asked Amelia, “Is there anything you would like to eat?”

“No, I’m not very hungry,” Amelia replied.

“Even if you feel that way, the baby in your stomach needs to eat.” Warren said, “Stay with Matilda for a while. I’ll go get it.”

After Warren walked away to get food, Matilda stared at Warren’s silhouette before looking at her daughter. “He cares a lot about you.”

Amelia bit her lips gently and said nothing.

When Warren arrived at the area to pick up food, Alicia stepped forward

and said, “Hello, Mr. York, do you remember me? I’m Amelia’s friend. We met a few days ago. My name is Alicia Taffron. You can call me Alicia.”

She put on a bright smile and flashed a self-assumed attractive gaze in an effort to attract Warren’s attention. In Alicia’s opinion, she was better-looking and younger than Amelia after all.

She thought, “If Warren likes Amelia, he might also like me. If he likes me, I wouldn’t need to hang around that jerk, Ryan, anymore.”

Warren looked at the woman in front of him coldly. He could tell what she was thinking at a glance. After all, he had met too many such women over the years.

“Since you think that you are Amelia’s friend, it is best to do what a friend should do in the future. Don’t think about using her for anything else. I spared you last time because you once helped Amelia in prison, but if it were next time, you would not be so lucky,” Warren warned her.

Alicia felt a chill down her spine. “M-Mr. York, did Amelia say something that gave you the wrong idea about me? I-I didn’t mean to use Amelia. I just…”

Before Alicia could finish, Warren interrupted, “I know very well what’s on your mind. You had better cast such thoughts out of it. I despise women like you.”

Alicia’s face suddenly turned red. She felt that she had been deeply insulted. “You… You’re just fooling around with Amelia. Don’t tell you’re really interested in an ex-convict like her?”

Warren’s eyes suddenly darkened. “If I hear you call Amelia an ex-co again, I’ll make sure you’ll never be able to speak again!”

Alicia’s body trembled, and a sense of fear rose in her heart.

She wanted to assume that Warren was just joking, but the look in his eyes made it very clear that he wasn’t.

Moreover, she had heard from Ryan that Jasper’s company got into trouble after the incident in the private room that day. Several deals with big businesses that had originally been negotiated had gone bad. Although the Yustone family didn’t say anything about it, Ryan guessed that it wasn’t a coincidence and Warren was actually behind it.

After Warren left the pick-up area, Alicia was still standing there. Her palms and back were covered with cold sweat.

“Why? Why did Warren look down on me? I’m clearly superior to Amelia in so many ways!”

Anger and jealousy surged in Alicia’s heart. Then Alicia walked quickly to the corner as if she had thought of something. She then took out her mobile phone from her handbag and dialed a number.

“Hello, is this Mr. Yustone? I’m Alicia. I have something to tell you…”
