The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1131

Chapter 1131

But now, Warren had to draw over 13 ounces of blood once a month.

“Don’t you know that if you keep drawing blood like this, your body will not be able to take it!” She stared at him. A surge of anger rose from her

chest.

But she didn’t even understand why she was angry. She wondered if it was because he stored blood for her without telling her, or because he didn’t care about his own body, or something else.

“So what?” He looked at her gently and said calmly, “Amelia, that’s all I can do for you. I know it’s hard for you to trust me again, but… I hope the child will be born safely more than anyone else, and I want to ensure nothing will go wrong with your childbirth.”

He paused before he continued, “It’s only over 13 ounces of blood once a month. It is nothing. I will cherish and look after my body.”

It was because, in addition to blood, the liver in his body was also of great importance.

Once her condition worsened, he could provide the liver source for the doctor to perform a second liver transplant on her.

Therefore, he would take care of his body more than anyone else.

“You…” Amelia’s nose suddenly stung, and the stinging sensation spread all the way from the tip of her nose to her chest and limbs. Even her eyes felt somewhat astringent, as if she was about to tear up.

“All right. I’ve already given you the answer you want to know. Is it okay now?” he said.

Amelia bit her lip slightly. “Anyway, I don’t want you to draw blood once a month. It’s too dangerous.”

“I know it well whether there is danger or not.” He said, “Don’t worry. I won’t do anything harmful to my body.”

“But–” She wanted to say something more but was interrupted by him.

“If you go on like this, I’ll think that you care about me.” Warren’s eyes became deeper. “Amelia, do you?”

Those words made Amelia’s heart skip a beat. “Do I care about him?” she

asked herself inwardly.

Amelia subconsciously wanted to deny it in her mind. “I just don’t want you to be in danger because of me. I’ve made it clear that we don’t owe each other, so you don’t have to do this for me out of guilt,” she said.

At the same time, she silently told herself it was because she didn’t want to owe him anything anymore that she didn’t want him to draw blood for her again.

Warren raised the corners of his lips and felt bitterness in his mouth. “Don’t worry, you don’t owe me anything. I am the one who owes you, and I’m not doing this because of guilt either!”

If it were just guilt, he wouldn’t risk his life. He was willing to do that simply because he loved her.

“Even so, you can’t draw blood once a month, and I don’t need your blood anymore! Where is the doctor who consented to take your blood once a month? I’ll go find him!” Amelia said.

Just when she was about to ask the nurse in charge of the blood bag, Warren suddenly grabbed her arm and said, “Don’t go!”

She wanted to break free from his grip, but his fingers tightly clasped her arm. “It has nothing to do with the doctor. I insist on doing it!” he said.

“Even if you insist, the doctor should still consider what a normal person’s body can take,” Amelia said as she raised her other hand to take his fingers off her arm.

Warren suddenly staggered, and his whole body was a little shaky.

Amelia paused instantly and looked at him nervously. “What’s wrong with you? Are you feeling uncomfortable somewhere?” His appearance right then reminded her of his weak look in front of the concession stand before, as if he would fall at any time.

“I just haven’t had breakfast this morning, so I’m a little hungry.” He smiled faintly.

But that smile made Amelia feel sad.

In the end, even Amelia herself didn’t understand why she took the initiative to accompany Warren to a restaurant near the hospital, where she ordered some easy-to-digest food and dined with Warren.

Warren said, “Actually, you don’t need to accompany me here. Aren’t you waiting for the report? It should be out soon.”

“If there is anything unusual in the report, the doctor will contact me. Since he hasn’t contacted me, everything should be normal,” Amelia said.

“Then… shall I move to another table?” He said, “If you share the same table with me, you will… feel uncomfortable, right?”
