The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1171

Chapter 1171

“Yesterday, you just said that you now have no feelings for me. It doesn’t mean there’s no room for negotiation regarding that other matter,” said Amelia.

“Room for negotiation?” He raised his eyebrows slightly. “What makes you think there’s anything to negotiate in this matter? You want me to let someone who nearly killed me off the hook. Well then, what are you willing to trade that is of equivalent value to that?”

Taking a deep breath, she answered, “I can be your insurance.”

He narrowed his eyes slightly and listened to her continue in a hoarse voice, “You used to have leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplantation to survive. Although your disease has been cured now, but… Well, what if it happens again in the future?”

The more she talked about it, the softer her voice became. After all, this kind of thing was taboo, and Warren hadn’t relapsed for so many years, so the possibility of recurrence was extremely low.

Even so, she still had to say it!

“Once you have a relapse, you will need bone marrow again. My bone marrow is the most suitable match to yours, so I can be your insurance and keep you safe.”

When she finished speaking, a still silence descended upon them. The way he was staring at her was as if his gaze could pierce right through

her.

Suddenly, he said coldly, “Amelia, are you here to take credit for your deeds? To remind me not to forget that you once donated bone marrow to the?”

I’m not! I’m just… telling you the price I can pay,” she uttered meekly.

“Years ago, you donated your bone marrow to me, but later on, I gave you my liver too. We don’t owe each other anything anymore. As for whether my disease will recur in the future, you don’t need to worry about it!” he said, stepping toward the gar parked off to one side.

Amelia grabbed him and said, “Yes, we don’t owe each other, but Warren, I can pay whatever price is necessary. Be it bone marrow, blood, or something else. Our blood types are the same, so I can become your

organ bank, right?”

It was the biggest price she could think of to pay after mulling over it all night.

Nowadays, other than the rare blood type she shared with him, there was nothing else she could offer him that was of use.

However, the moment she said this, his face suddenly darkened.

A scene of the past flashed in his mind.

Although his feelings for her had faded because of hypnosis, it did not mean that he didn’t remember what happened.

Previously, he had the exact same thought of becoming her organ bank. All he needed was for her to say yes.

Now, the tables had turned, and it was her turn to beg him humbly. He should have been happy, but the truth was, his mood couldn’t be any worse at that moment.

“Really? You can pay whatever price is necessary?” His voice became colder and colder.

“Yes,” she answered firmly.

“Well then, I want you to hand over Aiden and the unborn baby to the York family. From now on, they will live with the York family, and you will never be able to see them again!” he said in a cold voice.

In an instant, it was as though she had been struck by lightning. Her eyes widened, and her face abruptly turned pale.

Her lips trembled slightly as if she wanted to say something, but words eluded her.

She thought, “He wants me to give all the children to the York family? And I’m banned from seeing them in the future?” The very idea had her feeling like the sky was about to collapse.

The children were her life!

No, they were even more precious than her life!

At that moment, she looked so fragile, as if she would fall at any time.

Warren’s frown deepened. His chest felt tight, as though something was

pressing down on his heart.

He had forgotten his feelings for her, so why did seeing this woman like this make him feel so uncomfortable?

“Well? You can’t do it, can you?” He said, “Amelia, that friend of yours is very important, and so too are the children. However, I’m the only one who isn’t at all important. In that case, why should I agree? The price you claim you’re willing to pay is worthless after all!”

With that, he shook her hand off and got in the car.

Amelia stood there blankly, her hands empty.

She wondered, “Is there really no other way to save Riley? I can’t possibly pay the price Warren wants, but what about Riley? What do I do?”

She didn’t know if what Alicia said was true or false.

At present, Amelia could only sob helplessly. Her head was bowed, and her shoulders twitched slightly with her crying.

Warren’s car slowly drove away. Looking at Amelia’s shrinking figure in the rearview mirror, Warren suddenly closed his eyes and told himself not to think too much.

There was no reason for this woman to affect his mood like that.

After all, he had forgotten his feelings for her, right?

He leaned heavily against the back of the seat and stroked the area over his heart slowly with one hand.

Why, then, was his heart beating so rapidly?

Every beat was strong and intense, as if it were telling him something.

Feeling utterly despondent, Amelia walked in the direction of the hotel.
