The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1176

Chapter 1176

They were talking and laughing as if there was a warm atmosphere around them.

People who didn’t know it would think they were a married couple.

Such a scene made him feel uncomfortable. Their chatting and laughing in the video only made him feel extremely annoyed.

He grabbed the phone tightly and almost crushed it.

“Amelia…” he murmured. “Does she really have no feelings for Lucas? If she doesn’t, why does she smile at Lucas like that? She’s laughing so gently!” he thought.

After Amelia and Lucas bought some things, it was almost noon.

They then found a fast-food restaurant on the first floor of the mall for lunch.

“Thank you. You even bought Aiden a gift,” Amelia said.

Lucas replied embarrassedly, “There’s no need to thank me. Didn’t you also buy a gift for Nadine? I just don’t know if Aiden will like my gift.”

“He surely will,” Amelia said.

They finished lunch and were about to leave when Lucas suddenly said, “Hey! Your shoelace is loosened.”

Amelia saw that the shoelace on her left shoe was loose. She was about to bend down and tie it when Lucas said quickly, “Hey, no. Let me help you.”

“My belly isn’t bulging now. I have no problem squatting down.” At that time, Amelia had only been pregnant for less than five months.

Lucas was about to say something more, but when he looked somewhere behind Amelia, he was suddenly stunned. He just looked over there in a daze.

Amelia naturally noticed Lucas’ strange look. “What’s wrong?” As she spoke, she also looked behind her.

A tall figure came into Amelia’s vision.

It was none other than Warren.

Amelia looked at the figure in surprise. “Why is he here? He doesn’t usually come to this kind of fast-food restaurant!” she thought.

Meanwhile, Warren was walking toward her.

As he walked, his gaze was fixed on her.

In an instant, Amelia felt her heart skip a beat. “Did Warren come to this restaurant because of me?” she wondered.

Warren arrived in front of Amelia in no time. “It seems that you are having a good time with Mr. Graham. Amelia, I remember not long ago. when you told me that you weren’t in a relationship with Mr. Graham!”

Lucas also knew Warren. Seeing that Warren had appeared, Lucas said politely, “Mr. York, Ms. Haab is just helping my daughter pick gifts today because I rarely come here and don’t know what to buy.”

“Those words sound so innocent,” Warren sneered and glanced at Lucas coldly. “What do you think of a man picking gifts for his child with someone else’s pregnant wife? Amelia is my wife, and I don’t want to get cheated on.”

After that, Warren looked at Amelia and asked, “Are you going to cheat on me?”

Warren’s gaze was dark and ferocious. Seeing that, Amelia trembled instantly, and her blood seemed to have frozen.

Warren was full of a sense of danger. It seemed that the consequences would be unthinkable if someone were to say something wrong.

“I… Lucas and I are just friends. We bumped into each other, and we were just choosing a gift together. We didn’t do anything friends wouldn’t do with each other,” Amelia said.

“Did you think I would still stand here like this and chat with you if you

had interacted more intimately than that?” Warren said coldly.

Amelia choked.

Warren pulled Amelia and was about to leave when Lucas suddenly said, “Wait! Amelia’s shoelace is still loose!”

Warren lowered his head and looked at Amelia’s loose shoelace. Then he squatted down to help her tie the shoelace.

She gasped when she saw what he did. She didn’t expect him to do that,

and she was a little stunned for a moment.

As he tied her shoelace with his slender fingers, he felt a sense of familiarity.

In fact, he had done it before.

He thought, ‘Although I’ve forgotten my feelings for her, I still remember this matter.

At that time, why would I tie the shoelace for her? Was it the same case as now? Was I doing it… willingly?

Yes! I’m doing this willingly!”

At that moment, that was all Warren could think about.

He was livid when he arrived there because she was chatting away happily with Lucas.

“Amelia always had a look of rejection on her face when she looked at me. Yet, she could smile sweetly at Lucas. What’s good about Lucas? He’s nothing but an ordinary man!” Warren thought.
