The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 121

Chapter 121

Jonathan rolled his eyes at Alan, and then Alan heard some socialite around him gasping and muttering. “Oh my! He looks so good even with his eyes rolled!”

Speechless, Alan had an urge to vomit blood, thinking. “Jonathan was just rolling his eyes, and these love-struck women were exclaiming for that?”

As Jonathan took off his gloves, Alan abruptly snatched the gloves from Jonathan’s hand as if he had found something.

“Hey, these gloves seem to be hand-knitted. The knitting is not so great, though, Alan commented on the gloves with a doubtful look. “Besides, the yarn looks old. Did some store trick you into buying these gloves? How could they sell you gloves like this?”

“Who said I bought them?” Jonathan said indifferently.

Alan looked at him with his jaw dropping to the ground, musing. “If he didn’t buy it, could it be…” He paused before continuing, “Can it be that someone knitted it for you?”

Jonathan didn’t answer, but his expression was tacir

Alan felt his head spinning. “So, it was really gifted from someone. With Jonathan’s personality, he wouldn’t wear such a thing at all, he thought.

Not only did he wear the scarf and the gloves today, but he even wore them on such a public occasion.

“Who on earth could have knitted the scarf and the gloves? What kind of person would knit the mediocre scarf and gloves yet still make Jonathan wear them?” Alan mused.

Alan’s mind flashed through the rumor on New Year’s Eve, where his friend left Leonard and ran to the woman he had rescued in a small town near Strico.

He even stirred up the local police station for that woman.

“Was it her?” thought Alan.

As he was lost in thought, Jonathan had already spread his palm in front of Alan and said, “Give me back the gloves.”

“Ah!” Alan came back to his senses and was about to return the gloves to Jonathan when a voice sounded beside him. “The gloves…”

“These are the gloves Jonathan wore today,” Alan quickly said. ‘And—”

However, before he could finish his sentence, Calvin chimed in, “It’s hand-knitted.”

“Gah! You saw it.” Alan stammered.

Calvin stared fixedly at the gloves and then looked at Jonathan in surprise.

“What? Is there something wrong with these gloves?” Jonathan asked. He could feel that Calvin’s face changed as he looked at the gloves.

“Did someone give it to you?’ asked Calvin.

“Yes.” Jonathan narrowed his eyes as he looked at Calvin’s gradually deepened eyes. “Have you seen these gloves before?”

Calvin looked up to meet Jonathan’s gaze and answered directly. “Yes.”

At this moment, there seemed to be a sense of oppression in the air.

Alan couldn’t help but exclaim, “What are you guys talking about? What do you mean you have seen it? By why didn’t you bring your new girlfriend here today? I’ve heard that she was acting all high and mighty on the set today, and you ended up letting hier have eggs on her face.”

the

way.

Calvin,

Calvin glanced at Alan and said, “You’re pretty hep.”

“Oh, it’s nothing!” Alan said modestly. “I just happened to come across someone I know who told me about this. I heard that your girlfriend made a background actor kneel non-stop, but you blew her up in her face publicly and carried the background actor to the green room. Why? Are you going to dump your new girlfriend for that background actor?” Alan joked, thinking that he had long been accustomed to his friend changing his girlfriend frequently.

It would be strange for him if Calvin did not change his girlfriend every once in a while.

However, if this current little celebrity got replaced, she would be Calvin’s shortest-lasting girlfriend.

“Yeah, I hit on her,” Calvin said calmly, but his eyes remained fixed on Jonathan

Alan did not feel anything wrong, but Jonathan’s face darkened. Even the air around him seemed to grow cold and heavy.

“Hey.Jonathan. What’s wrong? Why such a long face?” Alan asked in confusion, feeling an inexplicable tension in the

Jonathan ignored Alan. He stared at Calvin with his dark eyes, and his lips curled slightly. “You’re not going to tell me that that background actor is your girlfriend’s sister, are you?”

“Yeah. What a coincidence,” said Calvin.

Jonathan smiled even more, but his eyes were icy cold. “Indeed.”

After saying that, he turned around and walked toward the exit of the venue.

Bewildered, Alan looked at Calvin, who was standing beside him. “Is Jonathan leaving? He hasn’t been here that long yet.”

Calvin stared at Jonathan’s departing figure with a solemn look.

“Did you guys say something that I didn’t hear?” Alan asked. He clearly understood every word his two friends had spoken just now, but now he felt like he might have missed something.

Otherwise, how could he not understand their reaction at all?
