The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1227

Chapter 1227

Watching her son’s expression, Rosalie experienced a warm sensation in her heart. “I am so glad I gave birth to such a caring son!” she exclaimed inwardly.

Thinking of that, she couldn’t help but bend down and kiss Guillermo’s tender cheeks several times.

Guillermo’s cheeks immediately turned red. Even though he enjoyed Rosalie’s kisses, having Rosalie kiss him in front of so many people made him feel a little embarrassed.

Rosalie felt that her son looked even more adorable as she gazed at his flushed cheek, so she could not resist giving him a few more kisses.

When Calvin saw the heartwarming scene before him, he lowered his head. Rosalie was living a happy life, which he had known all along. Nevertheless, seeing it with his own eyes made him feel a complex emotion that he could not quite put into words.

Deep down, he hoped she could live a happy life, but he was also disappointed because the person who ultimately provided her happiness was not him.

Finally, it was 11 o’clock at night. Rosalie woke up her son. She had Guillermo take a nap after they finished their dinner because they planned to start the operation late at night.

While rubbing his sleepy eyes, Guillermo let out a few yawns. His beautiful eyes gradually regained their focus.

He was well aware of what he needed to do. He opened his mini laptop and quickly typed on the keyboard.

The other computer experts also took out their own laptops and began working simultaneously.

At the same time, Jonathan and Calvin’s subordinates were approaching the mansion with recording equipment, allowing Rosalie and the computer experts to observe the operation in progress and allowing for better coordination between the two groups.

Once Guillermo and the experts successfully breached the mansion’s security system and cut off the power supply, the agile bodyguards began infiltrating the mansion to initiate the rescue operation.

Jonathan and Calvin divided their tasks clearly. One directed the

operation, while the other quickly calculated the best route.

As for Rosalie, she watched the operation nervously without any direct involvement.

In the beginning, she had questioned whether it was necessary to have Guillermo there, but it now seemed that she was the one who felt unnecessary in the situation.

The operation went off without a hitch. After the bodyguards rescued Riley from the basement, Rosalie noticed some fresh wounds on Riley’s exposed skin. Rosalie reasoned that she must have more wounds hidden underneath her clothing.

It was obvious that the Summer family had tortured her during her confinement at the mansion.

Even Riley’s hair was haphazardly cut, with visible bloodstains on her scalp.

“Riley, I am a friend of Amelia. I have come to save you. We had

previously met at the hospital. Do you remember me?” Rosalie urgently said to Riley.

The car began to move in the darkness. Their priority was to leave the

area.

At that moment, Riley’s eyes were clearly swollen. She struggled to open her eyes and look at Rosalie. After a while, she piped up with a hoarse voice, “I… remember you.”

When Rosalie heard that, she couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief. In addition to having swollen eyes and appearing physically worn out, Ril also had a hopeless look in her eyes because of the pain she had gone through. Despite that, she appeared to be sane.

“We are going to conduct a psychiatric evaluation for you soon. You will be able to gain your freedom if it shows that you do not have any mental illnesses. I am not sure if you have a mental illness, but I hope you will cooperate,” Rosalie continued.

Riley’s eyes, which had previously been filled with despair, suddenly seemed to light up with hope. Her lips trembled, and her eyes welled up with tears. “O-Okay. I’ll cooperate!” she responded.

As Riley finished her words, tears rolled down her cheeks.

Rosalie pulled out a tissue and gently wiped away Riley’s tears.

Judging from their conversation, it seemed that Riley was at least partly clear-headed.

After a moment, Riley asked softly, “I-Is Amelia okay?”

“She’s doing fine. She’s running a concession stand now. Her son is in elementary school, and she is currently expecting her second child. Her second child will be born very soon. Furthermore, her wrongful imprisonment has been reversed, and the perpetrator has been punished,” Rosalie stated.

Riley seemed relieved when she heard that, and she murmured, “Thank goodness…”

“All right, you should take a good rest first. When we get to the doctor’s office later, you will undergo an evaluation by the doctor. We have a busy day ahead,” Rosalie suggested.

Riley nodded and closed her eyes slowly. Her hands, which were resting at her side, were tightly clenched onto her dress. Finally, she had a chance, and it might be her last.

No matter what, she had to take advantage of that opportunity.

Half an hour later, Harriet, who had already gone to bed in the Scott residence, received a call from the mansion’s security team leader.

At first, she was impatient, but when she heard that Riley had disappeared, she instantly became infuriated.

“What? She’s gone? How could she have vanished?” Harriet question sternly.
