The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1262

Chapter 1262

“Yes, he intends to save Amelia, even if it costs him his life,” Jonathan said.

Rosalie’s nose tingled. It was true. As Jonathan had said, Warren wouldn’t stand by and let Amelia leave.

However, she hadn’t expected Warren to lie on the operating table so resolutely at this time.

Some love, even if forgotten due to hypnosis, remains buried deep in the blood. That was why Warren chose to save Amelia.

Rosalie and Jonathan waited anxiously outside the operating room. As time passed, Rosalie grew more and more anxious.

“Will the surgery be successful? Will Amelia and Warren both be safe?” she thought.

If Amelia was saved, but something happened to Warren, Amelia’s future wouldn’t be happy either. After all, Amelia’s biggest wish was for Warren to live well.

After what felt like an eternity, even Matilda returned to the operating room. Finally, the doors opened, and the doctor walked out.

“Doctor, how is my daughter?” Matilda asked urgently. Earlier, Rosalie had informed her that Amelia was undergoing a liver transplant.

The reason why the two surgeries were performed together was that the earlier a liver transplant was performed, the less impact the other organs of the body would have.

“Although the surgery was successful, we need to observe the patient’s condition after she wakes up,” the doctor replied.

Matilda could finally breathe a sigh of relief for the moment.

Rosalie asked, “What about Warren? How is he?”

“His condition is relatively stable, but undergoing two liver transplants will cause some damage to his body. He will need extended time to recover his body. As long as he gets through the critical 24-hour period, he should be fine,” the doctor explained.

Rosalie let out a sigh of relief, hoping that Warren would survive the critical 24 hours.

“Also…” the doctor hesitated. “Mr. York left instructions before the

surgery. He doesn’t want you to tell Ms. Haab that he donated his liver to her. He doesn’t want her to know. He hopes those who know will keep it a secret.”

Matilda and Rosalie looked at each other. Obviously, they didn’t expect Warren not to let Amelia know after risking his life.

In no time, both Amelia and Warren were wheeled into separate isolation wards. Amelia needed to be observed for 72 hours, while Warren only needed 24 hours.

Two people in different wards, yet separated only by a thin wall.

Rosalie stood in the corridor, looking through the transparent isolation window at Amelia and Warren, who were still under anesthesia. Two people who were once deeply in love were now worlds apart.

“What are you thinking about?” Jonathan asked Rosalie, lowering his head.

“Why would Warren willingly donate his liver to save Amelia?” Rosalie murmured.

“Because he loves Amelia,” Jonathan said.

“But wasn’t he hypnotized? Even if he regained feelings for Amelia, how deep could they be?” Rosalie wondered.

“Some emotions, even under hypnosis, linger in the body. Happiness, heartache, reluctance to see the other in pain, fear of losing them…” Jonathan whispered. “Warren couldn’t bear the thought of Amelia leaving this world. So, he gambled with his life to save her.”

Rosalie fell silent. Warren’s love was perhaps deeper than she had imagined.

On the third day, when Warren woke up, Rosalie and Jonathan entered his isolation ward, dressed in isolation suits.

“Both you and Amelia had successful surgeries. You can transfer to a regular ward in 24 hours, while Amelia needs 72 hours,” Rosalie said.

“Has she woken up?” Warren’s voice was hoarse.

“Not yet, but the doctor said she would wake up today,” Rosalie replied.

“Don’t tell her. My liver… belongs to her now, Warren reiterated.

“Why wouldn’t you want to tell Amelia that you saved her?” Rosalie asked, puzzled.

“Because I want a clean break from her,” Warren said.

“But you have two children now. How can you break from her completely?” Rosalie said.

Warren closed his eyes wearily. “Then I don’t want any ties between us except our children.”

He had struggled in this hopeless love for so many years. Now, he didn’t want to linger in it any longer.

He wanted a clean break while he still could.

After Amelia woke up, no one mentioned the liver transplant. They made excuses, saying the doctors had performed a minor procedure to control her liver condition.

On the second day after Amelia transferred to the regular ward, Warren was discharged from the hospital.

When Rosalie heard, Warren had been escorted out of Strico by a car.
