The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1299

Chapter 1299

Riley nodded and said, “Yes. I’m studying archaeology in Strico. I have to study here for at least three years before I decide whether I should continue to stay in Strico in the future.”

“Are you not going back to Lommore anymore?” Amelia asked again.

Thinking of Lommore, Riley looked a little sad. For her, Lommore was a place that reminded her of her sad memories. “I will go back to Lommore on special festivals and every death anniversary of Nicholas. Except for those occasions, I will only go back for my son.”

The only people that made Riley miss Lommore were Nicholas and Hendrick.

Riley sold all her shares in Summer Group because she really wanted to leave Lommore.

“How is Hendrick?” Amelia asked with concern.

“The doctor said that he is recovering. Maybe he will be discharged from the hospital after some treatment,” Riley said.

“That’s good.” Amelia was relieved. Mothers would be worried when the children got sick. “Then did he know that you were Hendrick’s biologic mother?” Amelia asked.

Riley shook her head and replied, “I don’t know whether he knows or not. I have only met Hendrick for a few times. Sometimes I think it may be better for Hendrick if he doesn’t know that I am his mother.”

After all, what happened between adults was too complicated. If Hendrick knew it, he might not be as happy as before.

“Well, stop talking about my story. Look at Zinnia! She’s so cute!” Riley changed the subject and began to tease the baby in Amelia’s arms.

Although Zinnia was a premature baby, she was healthy after being taken good care of in the incubator. After she left the incubator, she could be fed like a normal baby.

Zinnia looked fair and tender. She was very adorable.

“She’s still a little thin. She drinks less milk than other babies who are older than one month. However, she has been fed with milk powder instead of breast milk since birth,” Amelia said.

“You’ve given enough for her. When she grows up, she will understand how much you’ve done for her,” Riley said. Then she took out a big gift box and said, “It’s the first time that I’ve seen Zinnia. This is for her!”

Seeing this, Amelia took the gift over and said, “Thank you so much! But it must be very expensive!”

“This is for the baby, not for you. You just keep it for her and will give it to her in the future!” Riley smiled and said. “I’ve sold my equity. I can’t spend the money I have for my lifetime, so don’t save money for me.”

Amelia smiled.

“Come

on,

let me hold the baby. She is so cute! I want to hold her,” Riley said eagerly.

Amelia carefully handed her daughter to Riley.

Riley held the tiny and soft body carefully, watching Zinnia pout in her arms as if she were blowing bubbles. Zinnia’s cute appearance made Riley’s eyes turn red.

When Hendrick was just born, did he look like this? Was he also so cute?

But Riley hadn’t even held Hendrick since he was born.

Seeing Riley’s eyes turning red, Amelia understood what she had though of. So Amelia just stood aside quietly without saying anything.

Amelia knew she could do nothing to relieve Riley’s emotions now. Riley needed time to recover.

At this time, Amelia’s phone suddenly rang. She took out her phone and saw a strange number.

But when Amelia answered the call, what the caller said shocked her.

“Is that Ms. Haab? I’m the representative lawyer of Warren York. Mr. York has entrusted me to handle your divorce with him. I have drawn up a divorce settlement agreement for you. If you have time, please come to our law firm to check the agreement. If you have any objection, you can tell us. We will forward your opinions to Mr. York and then modify the agreement.”

Amelia was stunned when she heard those words. She only felt that the voice on the other end of her phone was becoming far away.

“Ms. Haab?” The lawyer’s voice increased because of the long silence.

“Oh!” Amelia suddenly came back to her senses and said, “Okay. I… I see.”

“The address of my law firm is…” the lawyer told Amelia the address and asked, “May I know when it is convenient for you to come over so that I can make an appointment for you?”

Amelia hesitated for a moment and said, “Tomorrow will be fine. I’ll come tomorrow.”

“Okay, can we meet tomorrow afternoon? I can send a car to pick you up,” the lawyer said.

“Thank you, but it’s not necessary. Let’s meet tomorrow afternoon,” Amelia said and hung up the phone.

Seeing Amelia’s unhappy expression, Riley asked, “What happened? Do you need my help?”

Amelia smiled bitterly and said, “No, thanks. It was a lawyer who called me. Warren entrusted him to draw up a divorce settlement agreement. He asked me to go over there to check it.”
