The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1343

Chapter 1343

Hanna felt a little relieved.

Hanna knew that without Calvin’s help, it would take more time for this

incident to pass.

On the days when they agreed to date, Calvin basically stayed in the serviced apartment that Hanna rented all the time.

Calvin would read books or watch dramas, while Hanna would draw him down on a sketchbook.

When Hanna did it fast, she could finish one in 15 minutes. When she needed more time, it would take her more than half an hour.

Hanna loved drawing the details of Calvin’s face. His delicate facial features and his indifferent aura gave people a cold feeling, but there seemed to be various emotions hidden in his cold eyes, which made people want to see clearly.

But the more people wanted to see it clearly, the vaguer it became.

This kind of contradiction was really attractive.

At this moment, Calvin was casually watching a variety show on the TV which recorded the real situation in the emergency room, while Hanna was drawing Calvin in a sketchbook.

Hanna had been watching this variety show that was about the emergency room because the female lead of her new comic

in the emergency room. She wanted to know more about then in the emergency room.

Hanna was watching it alone in the room just now. After Calvin started to watch it with her.

Later, although Hanna picked up the sketchbook and started to dra details of Calvin’s face, she was still listening to what was playing on at the same time.

At this moment, the content played on the screen was about a mother and a son who were pressed due to the collapse of their house. After people rescued them, the doctor diagnosed that they were in critical condition. The possibility for them to survive was only 50%. Even if the were cured, there would be many sequelae. The mother’s legs could be

saved, but it would cost a lot of money.

The cost was a heavy burden for an ordinary rural family. In the end, in order to leave as much money as possible for her son’s treatment, the mother chose the relatively cheaper amputation and lost her right leg.

“She sacrificed her leg just for a child who might not be able to survive. Even if he really survived, there would be sequelae. That’s not a good choice,” Calvin said indifferently.

Obviously, Calvin didn’t agree with the mother’s choice in the variety show.

“Because for this mother, the child is more precious than her life. No matter whether the kid can survive or not, she is willing to bet on hope with one leg. Even if the child will have other sequelae in the future, she will still accept it,” Hanna stopped, turned to the screen, and said.

“Is it worthy to bet on a hope with such a great cost?” said Calvin.

“Yes,” said Hanna. “At least I think it’s worthy. If it were me and if my child was in danger one day, I would also be willing to use everything of mine to bet on a hope.”

Hearing Hanna’s words, Calvin was in a trance for a moment. Hanna’s and Rosalie’s figures seemed to be overlapping, and his heart was throbbing.

Calvin thought, “Why are they both willing to sacrifice everything to bet on hope for their kids? Are kids that important?”

“What’s wrong? You don’t look good,” Hanna suddenly said. “Are unwell?”

“Nothing. I just don’t understand why you think children are so important,” Calvin murmured.

“Maybe you’ll understand that when you have your own child in the future,” Hanna thought for a while and said. She unconsciously imagin what Calvin’s child would look like.

Hanna thought, “A mini Calvin? Wow, he’ll be super cute.”

But what Calvin said next stunned Hanna.

Calvin said, “I think I won’t my own children, so maybe I’ll never understand that.”

Hanna stared at the man in front of her blankly. When Calvin said that, he gently looked down. His long eyelashes covered everything in his eyes, and his whole body seemed to be surrounded by loneliness, isolating him from the surroundings.

It felt like Calvin didn’t allow anyone else to approach him, including

Hanna.

A week later, Hanna moved back to her home and joined the crew as originally planned. She began to assist the scriptwriter and discuss the scripts.

But on the first day Hanna joined the crew, she could clearly feel some strange gazes from many people in the crew.

After all, although Hanna’s affair had passed and the short-term trending topics were quickly replaced by other eye-catching gossip stories in those gossipers’ minds, almost everyone in the crew knew what happened to Hanna.

But what they knew was the distorted facts on the trending topics, not the real facts.

“It’s her. She bullied others in college, and then she was bullied by other people at last. What a happy ending!”

“I thought she was a nice person after reading her comics. I didn’t expect her to be such a bad person!”

“The producer must have regretted choosing her comic. It’s better to use other comics than hers.”

Although the people around seemed to be talking in private, they didn keep their voices down. Hanna could easily hear that.

“Don’t pay attention to those gossip. Just ignore those bullshit!” Shelly comforted Hanna.

“Don’t worry. I am not a weak person who has never experienced any difficulty before. Just some gossip. I can take it.” Hanna smiled at Shelly to reassure her.
