Chapter 150
Jonathan stared at Rosalie deeply and asked, “Is it important whether I believe it or not?”
She was stunned and then laughed at herself. “It’s true. It has nothing to do with me, whether he believes it or not. Why did I get nervous when he looked at me just now?” she pondered.
“Tll go back to my room. Rosalie wanted to cross over Jonathan and head for the stairs.
But she only took two steps and her arm was suddenly grabbed. The next moment, her whole body was almost pulled down. by the force, and she bumped into his embrace.
“I believe that you are innocent.” He bent down and uttered in a deep voice next to her ear, “But do you really think you can find out anything else if you look into the case by yourself now? The case was three years ago. Even if you look into it now, have you ever thought that maybe the truth you want has never existed?”
Rosalie widened her bright eyes and looked back at Jonathan. Then, she smiled gently. “Even rich and influential people like you think that I can’t overturn the verdict with my own ability. However, a lowly person like me still feels that one day, I might be able to clear my own name.”
Her smile made him feel dazzled, and his heart seemed to be stung. After a long time, he asked, “What if I’m willing to help you? What if I can help you find out the truth that you want?”
She looked at him absent-mindedly and didn’t understand why his attitude suddenly changed again.
He whispered, “If I say that as long as you are willing to stay with me and accompany me, then I can help you find out the truth. Will you agree to my condition?” It was as if his gentle breath was wrapping her whole body.
Her heart suddenly was beating violently as if it was about to jump out of her mouth.
She knew that as long as she agreed now, she could really clear the charges on her and become innocent in the public’s eyes.
Rosalie thought. ‘But I have to exchange this innocence with my freedom or even my body. Is this really what I want?
I’m not a little girl anymore. If I agree to this, I can roughly guess what kind of situations I’ll end up in.
If I agree to it. I think Tracy wouldn’t want to see me give up my other innocence just to clear my name. Rosalie was contemplating on her own for a long time.
‘I’ll find out the truth on my own,” replied Rosalie, refusing Jonathan’s proposal at the same time.
“Really?” He whispered and then slowly straightened up. His originally gorgeous eyes seemed misty now. Then when you’re willing to stay by my side, you can let me know whenever
He let go of his hand that had been holding her arm.
Rosalie bit her lip slightly and walked toward the stairs.
Jonathan kept staring at Rosalie’s silhouette until she disappeared from his vision. Then, he sat back on the couch and took out a photo from his pocket. It was a photo of Rosalie wearing a floral dress when she was a child.
“Is that you?” he asked in a low voice as if he were asking the little girl in the photo across time and space.
It was the silent surroundings that responded to him.
In his memory, the photo in front of him overlapped with a painting he had seen before. The little girl in the painting had a similar appearance to the girl in the photo. Both of them were wearing a floral dress.
“Could it be a coincidence?” Jonathan’s eyes turned cold as he was pondering. “Or was she really the little girl in the painting? If she was, then…”
“No matter if you are the little girl or not, you can only be with me for the rest of your life. You can never be with other people!” he stared at the photo and muttered icily.
He sounded absolutely domineering.
He would never let go of her, not to mention give others any chancel
In the private room of a club, Loretta was trying hard to please Calvin.
Loretta had to put more effort into Calvin since she couldn’t get a guarantee in her career.
However, what made her feel sullen now was that he had been asking about Rosalie ever since she entered the room. He had asked about Rosalie’s childhood, school, and so on.
Anyway, as long as it was related to Rosalie, it didn’t matter if they were major or minor matters.
“What the hell is that? I am the official girlfriend now!” Loretta complained wildly in her heart. Nonetheless, she still had to put on a gentle simile and tell Calvin affectionately something related to Rosalie in her memory.
In fact, what she could say currently were only some trivial and small things in her past life.
Nevertheless, Calvin listened to everything with interest, which made Loretta feel more embarrassed.
After saying a few things about Rosalie, Loretta finally coaxed endearingly, ‘Calvin, I was wrong about the incident last time. Well, I lost my place as the second female lead. I am everyone’s laughingstock now. They comment that your ex-girlfriends used to be the best actresses or famous celebrities, so I’m the least eye-catching one.”
Calvin looked at the person in front of him with an indifferent expression as if he wanted to see how she would continue the
