The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 192

Chapter 192

Callum was dressed in a suit and leather shoes, with an exquisite face that looked like a prince in a comic. Lillian thought, “I’m afraid only a few people will believe that such a man is my boyfriend.”

Lillian just wanted to look up to the sky and sigh. Thinking about what had happened these few days, she felt miserable.

It all started on that blind date. She thought things would return to normal after the blind date was screwed up.

However, as soon as she came home, her mother gave her a dressing down for not telling the family that she had a boyfriend. The matchmaker also called her parents and scolded them. Lillian was chided for embarrassing the family.

Then, her parents began to ask who her boyfriend was.

In view of this situation, Lillian certainly refused to admit it. She just said that her friend happened to pass by and knew she didn’t want a blind date, so he deliberately helped her by claiming to be her boyfriend.

As a result, her parents asked her which friend it was, so she could only give them the name of a male friend with whom she used to have a good relationship, planning to fix the story with him afterward.

Before she could talk to her friend, Callum happened to call her. So before she answered the phone, her mother directly took the phone from her hand and chatted with Callum.

When her mother asked Callum what kind of relationship he had with Lillian, he replied directly, “I’m her boyfriend.”

His answer was like a bomb, sending the Quinn family wild. On the phone, Abigail Quinn warmly invited Callum to visit their home, while Lillian struggled to take back her mobile phone many times but was stopped by her father’s glare.

After the call finally ended, Lillian was taught a lesson by her parents for two hours.

“What’s so embarrassing about having a boyfriend? No matter how ugly your boyfriend is, or how bad his job is, you have to tell the family at least! For how long do you want to hide it from me? You aren’t planning to tell us only when you’re pregnant, are you?”

Speechless, Lillian swore that she had never thought of doing that.

However, the problem was that she couldn’t tell her parents straightforwardly that she just wanted to have a casual relationship with Callum and that they would break up after Callum was done with his revenge.

If she said that, it would be inevitable for her parents to find out that she had left him right after the fling with him back then.

Therefore, she had to accept her fate obediently and follow her parents’ orders to find time to take Callum home.

Originally, she had mentally prepared herself, but now when she had really walked into her residential area, she couldn’t help but hesitate again.

Taking a look at Callum’s appearance and thinking about his family background, she thought that although he was an illegitimate child, he was now the head of the White family. The entire White family was under his control.

Many women would be trying to get such a man to marry their daughters.

“Why are you looking at me like this? Are you afraid that your parents will not like me?” Callum asked.

Lillian rolled her eyes. She was just afraid that her parents would like him too much. If she broke up with him then, she wouldn’t be hurt much, but her parents might be depressed.

Taking a deep breath, Lillian replied as if she had accepted her fate, “Let’s go.” She had to face it anyway. Since her parents knew that he existed, they should definitely meet him.

Lillian led Callum into the residential area and walked to the elevator in the building in which her house was located. She pressed the up button.

After a while, the elevator arrived, but the person who came out of the elevator was Lillian’s neighbor, who immediately greeted her after seeing her, “Lillian, you are back. He must be your boyfriend.”

The neighbor kept looking at Callum while speaking.

Lillian was stunned. Before she could react, Callum replied, “Yes, I’m Lillian’s boyfriend.”

“Well, it won’t be long before we can attend your wedding I guess.” The neighbor smiled and then hurriedly urged, “All right, Lillian, take him upstairs. Your mother has been nagging for a whole day today, waiting to see your boyfriend.”

Lillian was tongue-tied. Now she knew why the neighbor said Callum was her boyfriend as soon as he saw Callum by her side. It was because her mother had already told the world about it.

Walking into the elevator, Lillian looked at Callum who was staring at her with a half-smile.

Her face blushed. She hesitated momentarily and felt the need to remind him about her parents. “Well, my parents may be rather eager because I have never had a boyfriend. You can just muddle through when dealing with them later, and I will

find an excuse to take

you out.”

“Huh? Have you never had a boyfriend?” He raised his eyebrows and suddenly bent down, staring at her.

Lillian’s heart suddenly skipped a beat. As a sucker for good looks, she became nervous easily when she looked at a beautiful face so close.

“Ha. Haha. Um, I’ve been busy with my work, so I don’t get a boyfriend,” she replied awkwardly.
