Chapter 211
She did not want the diner Amelia had finally established to be messed up by those people.
Rosalie guessed it was because the so-called “sense of justice” inside her began to surface again. After all, when Rosalie became a lawyer, she wanted justice to be upheld.
When she finished speaking, the expressions of those people changed. Then, someone looked around with concern in his
eyes.
Just as Rosalie was about to leave, one of them suddenly grabbed her arm and tried to stop her from going away.
The man pulled so hard that Rosalie could not hold the phone, and it fell to the ground.
Someone saw the recording interface on her phone screen and immediately said somberly. “She’s recording!”
“Damn it! How dare you play such a trick!” One of them shouted angrily and raised his hand to hit Rosalie. He forgot that they were outdoors then, and many of the celebrities’ fans were around.
Suddenly, a burst of exclamations came from around. Rosalie subconsciously closed her eyes and raised her hand to block the hand that was about to hit her.
Then, the reaction of the people around Rosalie seemed to change. There were sounds of gasping and exclaiming. Rosalie did not feel the pain. One hand wrapped around her shoulder, bringing her toward a slightly cold embrace.
Rosalie opened her eyes and saw a handsome face with distinct features. At that moment, there was a hint of anger on the initially indifferent face.
“What’s going on?” Calvin directly grabbed the hand of the man, who was about to hit Rosalie, with one of his hands and sounded terrifyingly cold.
The man’s forehead was covered with cold sweat, and he only felt that his hand seemed broken. Compared with the pain in his hand, he was more afraid of the person in front.
He mentally exclaimed, “This is Mr. Gunner, the scion of the entertainment industry! It looks like… Mr. Gunner wants to back up this delivery person.”
The others with him stepped forward quickly and said, “Mr. Gunner, she’s a delivery person. There are worms in the food of their diner. We’re hurrying to get an explanation, so… it’s not a big deal.”
At that moment, those people only wanted to brush away the matter quickly.
However, Calvin lowered his head and looked at Rosalie. There was a trace of tenderness and worry in his tone. “Are you okay?”
Rosalie shook her head and said, “I’m fine. Thank you.”
If Calvin hadn’t shown up, she would have suffered earlier.
Rosalie looked at the phone that fell to the ground. When she was about to bend down and pick it up, Calvin bent down first and helped her pick it up.
“Is this your phone?” asked Calvin.
“Yes,” answered Rosalie. She took her phone from his hand and roughly checked it. Fortunately, it did not break or have any
on the screen.

As they stood at the side, the others widened their eyes when they saw Calvin bend down to pick up Rosalie’s phone.
They thought in unison, “When did Mr. Gunner help people pick up things on the ground? Even if something fell to the ground, someone else will pick it up!”
Instead of asking others, Calvin asked Rosalie, “What exactly is happening?”
It seemed that he only believed what she said.
“A worm was in one of the boxed meals I delivered today. They asked me to exempt all the boxed meals and asked the diner to compensate them 1,000 dollars. I think it would be better to leave this matter to the police, but they found that I recorded with my phone, so a conflict broke out,” said Rosalie.
Calvin raised his eyebrows slightly. “A recording? Do you mind letting me listen to it?”
When they figured out that Calvin would listen to the recording, those people became even more gloomy. When Calvin heard the recording, his expression darkened. He also understood that some people in the film crew wanted to extort money, which led to the conflict.
The director, assistant director, and production assistant, who were with Calvin, also roughly understood what was happening. They all looked unpleasant.
If the incident was exposed, the film crew would be embarrassed.
The director could settle things with that group of people. The most important thing at that moment was to negotiate with Rosalie. “Miss, it was our fault. We didn’t restrict these employees who came to work with us temporarily. I apologize on behalf of the film crew. If you have any claim for compensation, you can say it.”
“No need. Since everyone understands this incident, it’s enough. I don’t want them to harass our diner in the future,” responded Rosalie.
She knew if the incident became huge, it would be bad for Aiden’s Diner.
It was actually the best option to settle the matter directly.
“Sure, of course!” The director repeatedly nodded. As the director checked Calvin’s expression, he wondered whether Calvin was satisfied with that treatment.
Rosalie turned around and planned to leave. After all, she had been out for a long time. She still had to deliver takeouts.
When she took only two steps, her arm was grabbed by someone.
She paused and looked back at Calvin with doubt in her eyes. “Mr. Gunner, is there anything else?”
