The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 225

Chapter 225

After he said that, he said to the saleswoman, “Pack these up.”

The saleswoman was overjoyed. She quickly wrapped all the hair accessories and issued a receipt.

Jonathan settled the bill and took the bag of hair accessories. Rosalie didn’t object. She understood that it was a gesture of his affection.

If she refused again, he might feel upset.

“Let’s also get some clothes and shoes,” he declared as if he had suddenly become a shopping enthusiast.

“Well, I have enough of them. No need to buy more,” she replied.

“But I want to see you dress better,” he said. “Don’t you women like to say that men should spend their money on women? Besides, I didn’t refuse when you bought me clothes and shoes.”

Well, she couldn’t refute his words.

But just in case he decided to buy her a bunch of luxury brands, Rosalie suggested, “Well… How about I choose what I like?”

“Okay.” He smiled.

The two strolled around the mall, and Rosalie carefully selected some of her favorite dresses and shoes.

She tried it on and felt good, and the price was not expensive.

At this moment, she was wearing a long beige dress with a relaxed design and a pair of matching sandals on her feet.

She hadn’t worn this style for a long time.

As she looked at herself in the fitting mirror, Rosalie was momentarily lost in thought. She felt like she was looking at the

past.

However, the aura she radiated now was completely different from before.

It was akin to a sharp spear, once discarded in the dark and damp corners, now regaining its luster.

Rosalie locked eyes with her reflection. She couldn’t help but notice the difference in her reflection now compared to when she had just been released from prison. There was no longer that dullness that had once clouded her eyes. It had gradually dissipated, leaving behind a newfound brightness.

“Is it because of Jonathan? Because he gives me a little hope for the future? I would have probably felt ridiculous in the past. He’s the person who made me desperate, but now he has become someone who gives me hope,” she mused.

“Do you like it?” His voice sounded in her ear.

She was stunned, only to find him behind and looking at her in the mirror.

Their

eyes met in the mirror.

“Well… Not bad,” she admitted, her cheeks flushing. His intense gaze seemed to ignite something within her. She felt a warm blush on her cheeks.

“I also think it’s gorgeous.” His lips approached her ear and whispered softly. Somehow, it seemed that she became more and more beautiful in his eyes, which made him unable to move his eyes away.

Her ears grew warm, and her heart raced. “Then… let’s take this. I’ll go change,” she said, eager to head into the dressing room and take off the dress.

But the next moment, his hand suddenly grabbed her wrist.

She looked at him in surprise. “What’s wrong?”

Jonathan pursed his thin lips. His eyes cleared up, and he smiled slightly. “Nothing, go ahead. I’ll wait here,” he replied as he released her hand.

After Rosalie entered the dressing room and closed the door, Jonathan closed his eyes. When he reopened them, the desire that had briefly flared was now completely suppressed.

Just a moment ago, he almost wanted to take her right there.

His desire for her seemed increasingly difficult to control. However, he knew that he needed to tread carefully and not scare her away.

She was like a cautious and timid animal. Every step she took was so careful, and he needed to use his strongest patience to let her eliminate the wariness in her heart and make her slowly learn to rely on him.

Only in this way can she fall in love and be inseparable from him!

Therefore, he had to be patient…

All for the sake of her love.

When Rosalie changed back into her original clothes and shoes, she noticed Jonathan peeking halfway out of the dressing room with a serious expression.

“What’s wrong? What are you thinking?” she asked.

He looked up, smiled, and said, “Nothing.” Then, he took the clothes and shoes in her hand and handed them to the staff at the counter to pay.

Just as they were about to take the elevator, a young woman suddenly approached Jonathan and said, “Hello, my name is Fraya Yoder. I’m a sophomore at the University of Strico. Can we exchange phone numbers?”
