The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 410

Chapter 410

Warren was definitely attractive to women.

Amelia thought of how she once would want to drink from the water bottle that Warren once drank from as she considered the action as indirect kissing.

Thinking of this, she realized she had been incredibly naïve back then.

Taking a deep breath, she said, “Warren, I believe both you and I are well aware that you have no authority to detain me. I am a free person.”

“A free person?” He chuckled. “So, how much do you think it will cost me to make you lose your freedom?”

His words were like a threat.

Her heart sank. She knew that he was telling her that he was fully capable of controlling her freedom. If he wanted to, he could find another reason and send her to prison.

Thinking of the days in prison, Amelia could not help trembling slightly, and her face became paler. Her red lips pressed tightly, and her hands on her knees clenched into fists. It was as if she was desperately suppressing the fear in her heart

Her appearance caused him to furrow his brow unconsciously. He set aside the water bottle in his hand and approached her, asking, “What’s the matter with you?”

However, when his hand touched her, she suddenly shouted in a sharp voice, “Don’t touch me!”-

Her tone and the look in her eyes conveyed an undeniable sense of disgust.

Warren’s face darkened. He grasped Amelia’s hand firmly and warned, “What if I did touch you? Amelia, let me make it clear that unless I choose not to, you have no right to refuse!”

The pain in her wrist made Amelia suddenly come back to her senses.

The cold and handsome face that came into her view made her realize that she was currently not in prison.

“Just now… I thought I was back in prison,” she thought. She had fallen into a trance suddenly and felt like she had returned to prison.

Amelia thought, “No, I can’t go to jail again!” She could not afford to go to jail again. She still had Aiden to raise.

Amelia took a deep breath and said, “Warren, if you want to have a child, then you can find a woman willing to help you give birth to one! There’s no need to come to me.”

“You owe me a life!” he answered coldly.

“So, is that why you want me to return a life to you?” She curled her lips. “But you hate me so much. Do you really want me to bear

your child? Furthermore, even if I were to bear a child, Irene wouldn’t be willing to raise a child of my blood. After all, I did make her lose her baby in the first place, didn’t I?”

Warren narrowed his eyes slightly and frowned even more. “What? You finally admit that you caused Irene to lose her baby?”

“Yes, I admit it.” She smiled and said, “I admit that I hurt her. Are you

satisfied?”

“Even if I professed my innocence, what good would it do? It only brought more humiliation upon me every time,” Amelia pondered.

In fact, she should have admitted it earlier so that she could truly erase this man from her heart.

Warren could not help but feel a wave of discomfort wash over him from his heart upon hearing her confession. Her confession did not seem to bring him any joy. Instead, it felt like something was weighing heavily on his chest, making it difficult for him to catch his breath.

“I don’t have to disclose to you whether I’m satisfied or not. Furthermore, once the baby is born, Irene won’t know that you’re the child’s mother,” he replied coldly.

“He has really thought of everything!” Amelia thought as she looked at the man in front of her quietly.

He was so protective of Irene that he even thought about the child for Irene. “You said I owe you and Irene a life, right?” she asked abruptly.

Warren fixed his gaze on Amelia. He could not quite fathom why he felt so unsettled when she remained so composed.

Amelia stood up, walked to the bar beside her, took out a bottle of wine and an empty glass, and poured herself a glass of

Wine.

At that moment, she might require a bit of courage, which she could find in a drink.

The red liquid flowed into her mouth, offering a mix of sweet and bitter sensations. It tasted truly delightful.

She wondered why she did not think wine was so delicious before.

After downing a glass of wine, Amelia slammed the glass at the edge of the bar counter. In an instant, the glass shattered into pieces. She held the half-broken glass in her hand, its rim bristling with sharp shards of glass.

“Amelia, are you crazy?” Warren barked angrily.

Amelia seemed not to care about his anger at the moment. She just smiled and asked, “Warren, how do you think I should pay you back a life?”

His anxiety became stronger. “What are you going to do?” His cold voice contained a touch of nervousness that he had not noticed himself.

“In this way, I doubt I can ever have a child!” She smiled as she brought the half-broken glass in her hand toward her

abdomen.
