Chapter 456
Aiden immediately rushed into Rosalie’s arms affectionately.
“By the way, Aiden, do you want to go to the amusement park this Sunday?” Rosalie asked.
Aiden’s eyes instantly lit up when he heard that, and he nodded eagerly.
“I can take Aiden to the amusement park this weekend,” Rosalie said after she turned to Amelia.
“But won’t it bother you too much?” Amelia asked with concern.
“Not at all. I’m looking forward to spending a day with Aiden at the amusement park,” Rosalie replied. Afterward, she mused, “Besides, they will soon move to Gerton. It’ll be less convenient for me to meet Aiden then.”
Rosalie added, “You also have to go to the hospital for a follow-up treatment on the weekend. Mrs. Haab will take you to the hospital, and I will take Aiden to the amusement park.”
“Well, thank you, and sorry to trouble you,” Amelia said with embarrassment.
“No trouble at all. Isn’t that right, Aiden?” Rosalie asked after she turned to look at him in her arms.
Then, Aiden gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek.
Amelia looked at her son in Rosalie’s arms with a smile. She thought, “Aiden is my everything. I have to protect him and prevent anyone from taking him away!”
“Warren? Warren?” A female gentle voice echoed in Warren’s ear, and he regained his senses.
Warren looked at Irene beside him and asked indifferently, “What’s the matter?”
“I just want to ask you what you think about this gown?” Irene was wearing a pure white evening gown at the moment. She seemed afraid Warren could not see it clearly, so she deliberately spun before him.
As she turned around, the hem of the white gown fluttered.
and spun
Warren looked at the spinning figure in a trance. He reflected, “There was once a woman who wore a white gown around in front of me like that as well. She would look at me happily with a smile and say, ‘I, Amelia, love Warren the most in my life.’ ‘Warren, what should we name our child in the future?’ ‘Warren, I feel so happy to be loved by you…”
He thought he had forgotten those words, but for some reason, the words Amelia once said kept appearing in his mind recently and had become more distinct.
“Do I look good in this?” Irene’s voice sounded again.
Warren looked at Irene’s beautiful face. He reassured himself inwardly, “This woman is the one I chose and want to be with. Just get Amelia off my mind.”
“Yes,” Warren replied.
Irene’s smile became brighter. She walked over to Warren and took his arm intimately. “Then I’ll wear this at the banquet held by my family in two weeks.”
“Okay.” Warren continued, “Also, choose some pieces of jewelry that suit this gown. I’ll pay for them.”
“What if the jewelry I chose is an expensive one?” She asked tentatively.
“It doesn’t matter. I will give you whatever you want,” Warren replied.
“But what I wanted is your love,” Irene said inwardly. She had been with him all these years. Although he took good care of her, she felt that he had never let go of Amelia in his heart.
Irene had seen him get along with Amelia before. He was so doting and tender toward Amelia. In contrast, when he was with Irene, she could not seem to experience such feelings from him.
Although Warren was good to her, she could not help but feel something missing in her heart.
More importantly, Irene thought he would soon marry her after Amelia was imprisoned.
However, their wedding was constantly delayed, which made her uneasy.
“What if I want to marry you? Will… will you agree?” Irene asked after she bit her lips slightly and looked at the man before
her.
She did not want to delay it anymore, especially after learning that he had found Amelia in Strico. She got even more uneasy.
She pondered, “He must have stayed for a few more days for Amelia at Strico this time. I wondered why he would come back early. Moreover, he used to say that he was looking for Amelia for revenge. What about now? Hasn’t he found her? But he seemed to act like nothing had happened. He didn’t even mention Amelia when he returned. What exactly happened between him and Amelia in Strico?”
Although Irene made multiple speculations in her heart, she dared not to send someone to investigate. She was worried that he would find out about her actions, and he would feel disgusted instead.
Warren glanced at Irene deeply, and his gaze made her feel that she was about to be seen through by him.
“I will.”
