The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 490

Chapter 490

Hearing this, Rosalie was a little relieved. Matilda should not be far away from home since she went to buy groceries. She would probably arrive very soon.

Therefore, Rosalie asked Aiden some questions about the situation and said, “Aiden, listen carefully. Help your mommy undo her collar and put a pillow under her legs to raise them slightly. I’ll call the ambulance now. Tell your grandmother about it if she comes back later, okay?”

“Okay, got it,” Aiden answered.

Rosalie then called the emergency center again and reported Amelia’s current address to explain the situation.

Fifteen minutes later, Matilda called and said that the ambulance had arrived. The paramedic checked Amelia and said that it should not be serious but sent her to the hospital for treatment anyway to be safe.

Rosalie felt a little relieved. After asking which hospital the ambulance was sent to, she hurried to the hospital after work and saw Amelia on the hospital bed.

Amelia was much thinner in the hospital gown than the last time Rosalie had seen her after just a week.

The hospital gown looked big on Amelia. She was pale and haggard. Even her lips were pale.

“Rosalie, thank you for calling the emergency services today,” Amelia said. She had forgotten to teach Aiden some basic knowledge about this, which made him panic immediately when encountering an emergency like this.

“Why did you suddenly faint? What did the doctor say?” Rosalie asked.

“The doctor said it was due to malnutrition and poor sleep,” Matilda replied.

Rosalie froze. After all, few people fainted because of malnutrition these days.

“I have no appetite these days, so I eat less. And sometimes I suffer from insomnia, so this happened.” Amelia smiled bitterly.

“Is it because of Warren?” Rosalie asked.

Amelia glanced at Aiden, who was already sleeping on the chair Aiden was frightened because she suddenly fainted. It was not until she woke up that he finally fell asleep as if he was relieved.

Thinking of Aiden’s red eyes she saw when she opened her eyes, Amelia felt heartbroken again.

“Yes.” She did not hide it from Rosalie. “A few days ago, Warren told me that he would fight for Aiden’s custody before leaving Strico.”

It was also because of this that she became mentally drained. She could not eat anything and often suffered from insomnia.

“Is there no room for negotiation?” Rosalie asked.

Amelia shook her head with a bitter smile. ” Warren’s a man of his word.” Warren would leave no room for negotiation, let alone for her.

In Warren’s opinion, maybe Amelia’s existence was a sin. There was no way that Warren would spare Amelia.

Rosalie said to Amelia, “If Warren really competes for custody, we can only fight against him. Amelia, if you don’t have a lawyer in mind, I’ll help you fight this case.”

Rosalie knew that given Amelia’s current situation, it would be difficult for Amelia to afford a lawyer with certain popularity. If Amelia hired an ordinary lawyer, Rosalie might as well help her with this case.

“Rosalie, are you willing to help me with the lawsuit?” Amelia looked happy.

“I’ll help you, of course,” Rosalie answered. She could at least help Amelia save some money, however… “However, I’m not sure about winning. After all, there are many disadvantages,” Rosalie said honestly.

“I understand. I understand!” Amelia repeatedly said. These disadvantages were her past that she could not change, and she was already grateful to Rosalie for helping her fight the case. “Rosalie, thank you.”

“By the way, are you going to stay in Strico? Have you confirmed Aiden’s kindergarten?” Rosalie remembered the matter. As far as she knew, Aiden was looking forward to attending kindergarten.

Not yet.” Amelia became worried again. She had approached many ordinary private kindergartens for her son, but they refused as soon as they learned that Aiden was deaf. It was useless even if she repeatedly stressed that Aiden wore a hearing aid and had no problem with communication.

Rosalie murmured, “I’ll think of a solution.”

“Do you have a solution?” Amelia froze.

“I’ll ask my friends. Maybe there’s a way,” Rosalie replied as she looked at Aiden, who was still sound asleep.

It was just kindergarten for Aiden right now. In the future, a deaf child might face crueler people and things than expected.

She only hoped to protect Aiden’s innocence because he had shown her a beautiful smile when she dejectedly walked into the diner for pasta.

She thought she would never have children of her own, so it would probably be a good idea to redirect the love to Aiden.

“Warren? Warren!” A soft voice rang in Warren’s ear, interrupting his thoughts. “What’s wrong? What’s on your mind?” Irene asked. Warren had always been distracted since he came back from Strico.
