Chapter 521
“We should do it together, Amelia. Just leave the cart!” Rosalie pulled Amelia’s hand and dialed 911 quickly.
Meanwhile, Lillian picked up a chair and threw it at the three men while saying to Amelia, “Let’s flee first. These three guys are deliberately causing trouble! At most, I’ll ask Callum to deal with them later!”
Unfortunately, Callum was not there now. Thus, she had to find a way to protect herself.
“Hello, 911? Someone is causing trouble and trying to hurt me and my friends…” Rosalie said quickly as soon as the call connected.
“Damn it. The bitch called the police. Grab her phone first!” One of them rushed towards Rosalie. Just as Rosalie was about to run and report the address, a figure suddenly flashed by, followed by a muffled grunt.
The man who was about to rush toward Rosalie just now was suddenly beaten senseless by the newcomer.
The other two men wanted to help, but another man appeared beside them and began to fight directly with them.
The scene was completely one-sided. The two men who suddenly appeared knocked down the three blackmailers who howled repeatedly.
“Let’s… It seems like we don’t run away anymore!” Lillian murmured.
Amelia looked at the scene in front of her with surprise, unable to come back to her senses. She originally planned to run away, but the situation had suddenly changed.
Rosalie recognized the two men who suddenly appeared. They were the bodyguards Jonathan had sent to follow her. When Aubrielle’s die-hard fan wanted to kill her at the film studio, it was these two men who showed up in time and saved the latter.
Nevertheless, Rosalie didn’t expect that the two bodyguards were still there.
At the other end of the line, the 911 operator said, “Miss, Miss, where are you now? We’ll send the police there.”
Rosalie said, “No need… It should be all right now. I’ll… I’ll take the three people who just tried to attack us to the police station and make a report.”
When Rosalie put away her phone, the two bodyguards came forward and said, “Ms. Leighton, are you hurt?”
Rosalie shook her head. “I’m okay. Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it. Mr. Youngblood sent us to follow you so that we could keep you safe,” the two of them said.
“What? You’re Jonathan’s men?” Lillian said in surprise and then turned to look at Rosalie. “Doesn’t this mean that Jonathan still sends someone to watch you every day?”
Rosalie smiled wryly. “It seems so, but everything has two sides. At least, we were saved by them today.”
“It seems you have a point.” Lillian scratched her head.
Rosalie turned to Amelia and said, “Amelia, you should continue running your business while Lillian and I will make a report at the police station. If these people come to trouble you again next time, the police will have their record, which will be used as evidence to protect you.”
“Thank you!” Amelia said.
At that moment, a car suddenly drove over in a hurry and stopped on the roadside. Then a figure got out of the car and strode
up to Lillian.
“Cal…” Just after Lillian called out, Callum turned her left and right to examine her carefully.
“What was going on just now? Did you get hurt?” Callum asked anxiously.
“No… I’m fine.” Lillian was still shocked that her boyfriend suddenly came. “How do you know I’m here?” She didn’t remember giving him the exact address.
“You’re one to talk!” he said. Halfway through their call, she suddenly screamed, and there was another man’s vicious voice in the background, causing him to panic.
However, Lillian hung up on him. When he called her again, she didn’t answer at all. He was so anxious that he broke out in a cold sweat. He could only drive there based on the words “Ocean Street” she said on the phone before searching the entire place for her.
What was usually a twenty-minute journey was completed in ten by him, and he didn’t know how many tickets he had collected on the way.
“If you are in danger next time, at least tell me where you are before hanging up! Do you know how worried I was just now?” Callum was close to roaring at her.
Lillian was stunned when she saw his pale face and the cold sweat on his forehead.
She could tell that he was really worried about her.
“I… I’m sorry!” Lillian replied in embarrassment.
She stared at her and apologized as if she were a pupil. Her apology managed to extinguish all his anxiety, irritability, and
restlessness like a fire..
Even if he wanted to get angry with her, he couldn’t.
He sighed and pulled her into his arms. “Next time, don’t make me worry so much!”
The embrace felt especially warm.
Lillian couldn’t help hugging Callum and nodding vigorously.
