The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 562

Chapter 562

“Why… are you here?” Rosalie looked at Calvin in surprise. When he got closer, she found that he had lost some weight.

His right hand was wrapped in a bandage. Rosalie thought of how Jonathan had broken Calvin’s hand when he took her away before. “How is your hand?” she asked.

“It’s nothing. It’s just a minor injury,” he said lightly. “It’s hard to find this place. It wasn’t until Mr. Sabatini was brought here yesterday that I finally got some clues.”

As Calvin said that, his eyes looked worried again. “Did he bring you here and make things difficult for you?”

“No,” Rosalie shook her head and said. When she thought about the time she had spent with Jonathan those days, her expression changed slightly.

When Calvin saw that, he suddenly felt uneasy, as if the last thing he had wanted was gradually becoming a reality

“Let’s leave now.” Calvin suddenly grabbed Rosalie’s hand with his left hand and said, “There is a high-level security system around the house. I have people invade the system and temporarily turn off some security functions, but it won’t last long, so we have to hurry.”

She was startled. “Leave?”

His charming eyes stared at her intently. “Don’t you want to leave?”

Somehow, the scene on the previous night, where Jonathan knelt before her, kissed her foot, and made a vow, flashed across Rosalie’s mind.

At that moment, she knew she had fallen in love with that man again. Despite being hurt deeply by him, she couldn’t help but think, “Will we be happy if we are together again? Will he really trust and love me without hurting me anymore, as he

said?”

Calvin saw her hesitation, and his heart suddenly sank. “Does she really treat Jonathan…” he thought.

“Rosalie, if we don’t leave now, the security system will return to its original state in a while, and we won’t be able to leave then!” Calvin said, “Do you really want to be locked up here by Jonathan? I’ll take you out first!”

Rosalie thought, “But if I follow Calvin out now, then…” She took a deep breath and looked at Calvin. “You’ve been looking for me these days and have spent so much effort to take me out. I am very grateful, but there are some things that I want to settle by myself!”

“We have no time! If there’s anything, let’s talk about it after we get out! Just because I can sneak in like this once, it doesn’t mean it can happen a second time,” Calvin said.

After all, that was the private property of the Youngblood family, and some of the things were beyond his control.

“If you really have something to settle yourself, then you can also settle it after getting out. By then, I won’t let Jonathan have another chance to lock you up like this again!” Calvin said as he led Rosalie quickly toward the exit.

He didn’t want her to stay there anymore, as if he would really lose that woman, whom he had genuinely fallen in love with for the first time, if he did not take her away then.

He was selfish and cowardly. He didn’t have the courage to bet whether she would be with Jonathan if he let her settle it by herself then. After all, she and Jonathan had once truly loved each other.

Rosalie staggered along with Calvin almost passively. “Calvin, listen to me. I really…”

But before she could finish her words, Calvin suddenly stopped, and Rosalie almost bumped into his back.

Before Rosalie could react, another cold voice sounded.

“If I don’t want to let anyone leave today, no one can leave!”

It was Jonathan’s voice. Suddenly, Rosalie felt as if the blood all over her body was about to freeze.

She looked up and only saw a tall figure standing just about 100 feet away from them, while behind him was a row of people.

It was like he had been waiting there for a long time, and what he did then was just to lure the other party into the trap.

“It seems that I am short-sighted.” Calvin looked coldly at Jonathan, who was not far away. “Have you let Mr. Sabatini come over on purpose just to lure me here?”

If it weren’t for Levi, he wouldn’t have been able to find that place so easily.

Jonathan didn’t answer and just looked at Rosalie, who was standing behind Calvin. “What about you? Even if I’m willing to give you everything, do you still want to leave with Calvin?”

Rosalie watched Jonathan walk toward her step by step. His handsome face was cold, and the eyes that had looked at her tenderly that morning were filled with gloom then, giving off an air of menace.

“If I say I’m not leaving, would you believe me?” she asked.

He laughed sarcastically. “You are about to walk out of the house with him, and even…” Jonathan walked up to Rosalie and Calvin, then raised his hand and put it on the hands held by the two. “You two are already like this. Do you still want me to believe you?”

Rosalie’s heart suddenly sank, and a feeling of bitterness spread over her chest. “You don’t believe me, do you?”
