The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 577

Chapter 577

But considering Rosalie and Jonathan’s current situation, it might be emotionally challenging for Rosalie to be her bridesmaid. It could potentially make her more upset.

“Getting married in three months?” Rosalie was stunned. She hadn’t expected Lillian to drop such a massive bombshell.

“Well, Callum said that he would spend three months resolving the current internal conflicts of the White family, and then we will get married,” Lillian said.

At first, Lillian felt it was too soon, but when the decision was made to marry in three months, she felt a sense of relief. She even began to anticipate the moment when she would become Callum’s wife.

“If that’s the case, then congratulations!” Rosalie smiled, sincerely wishing Lillian well. “I definitely want to be the bridesmaid at your wedding! If you don’t invite me, I’ll be upset!”

“If you feel reluctant, it doesn’t matter…”

The next moment, Rosalie reached out with both hands and embraced Lillian. “Lillian, I don’t have any reluctance. I know you’re actually worried about me, afraid that I might be troubled by my own feelings. But if that’s the case, then you’re underestimating the bond between us.”

Lillian was stunned. Rosalie knew all of her thoughts and concerns.

“I’m truly happy that you have found your happiness and are tying the knot with Callum. Even though I may never wear a wedding gown in my life, I still hope that you get to wear one more than anyone else. So, on your wedding day, I’ll definitely be there with you to witness your happiness!”

Lillian listened to Rosalie’s words with great attention and consideration.

Lillian hugged Rosalie back, her voice slightly choked. “What do you mean you might never wear a wedding gown in your life? You will wear one, for sure!”

Rosalie didn’t want Lillian to worry too much about her, so she smiled and replied, “Okay, then I’ll try my best to get myself into the wedding gown.”

As they got out of the car, Rosalie asked, “You’re marrying Callum three months later. What did your parents say?”

“They don’t know yet. I’ll wait a few days until Callum returns to Strico, and then we’ll visit my parents together,” Lillian said. She was uncertain about her parents’ reaction.

They ascended the steps along the mountainside while chatting, heading toward the church.

The church was built on the mountain, so it might be tiring to walk all the way. But it offered a chance to enjoy the scenery along the way.

As Rosalie climbed the steps and admired the scenery, she felt her worries had eased considerably.

“It seems that walking like this was truly good!” she thought.

When they arrived at the church, Lillian was surprised and said, “There seems to be more security guards here today.”

“Security guards?” Rosalie glanced around. Indeed, there were several men in uniform standing at the entrance of the church. Moreover, every visitor entering or leaving had to undergo a metal detector check

“When did the church become so strict?” Rosalie asked in confusion.

“I don’t know. When I accompanied my mother here, only two security guards were at the entrance.” Lillian was also confused.

They finally entered the church after going through the metal detector.

Lillian was quite familiar with the place, having visited it several times before. She took Rosalie to buy candles and walked toward a hall near the entrance of the church.

There was a designated area for candles at the entrance to the hall. Rosalie followed Lillian to light a candle and place it there.

Just as they were about to enter the hall, Rosalie heard someone behind them say, “Did you hear that? Jonathan is here today.”

“Jonathan? Well… that Jonathan from the Youngblood family?”

“Otherwise, who else named Jonathan could have so many security guards at the church entrance carry out such checks?”

Rosalie’s body trembled. She once thought that his name might be sealed in her heart after leaving the residence, never to be heard again.

But she hadn’t expected to hear that name again so soon! Moreover, the two of them were in the same church.

Lillian, next to Rosalie, heard it as well. She looked at her awkwardly. “How about… after we finish paying our respects, we go

back early?”

“Don’t worry. I can handle this,” Rosalie said, pretending to be relaxed. “Even if he’s in this church, it doesn’t matter. Should I leave Strico and go to another city if he is in Strico? Since we both live in the same city, there’s always a chance we might run into each other.”

With that, Rosalie took Lillian and walked into the hall.

There were four statues in the hall, and Rosalie paid her respects to each one in turn.
