The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 639

Chapter 639

When that statement was made, the dressing room fell into silence again.

A wealthy family with the surname Youngblood… The most affluent family of Strico had the same surname. The crowd exchanged knowing glances and seemed to share a common suspicion.

After a while, someone finally spoke up. “Could it be… Jonathan Youngblood?”

“How is that possible?” Elodia retorted on the spot. “Those people… They must be temporary actors Rosalie has hired deliberately to make us believe she’s married. Besides, if she has married Jonathan, why would she still be working at the firm and get pregnant in just three months?”

“Acting… That seems unlikely,” a colleague chimed in.

“Yeah, if that were the case, she could have just found a man to pretend to be her husband. It would have been much easier.”

The people present weren’t foolish, and it was clear that Elodia’s arguments were far-fetched.

Someone went straight to the window and looked down at the building. A moment later, someone exclaimed, “Oh, my! They picked up Rosalie in a limited-edition extended Lincoln! How much does that car cost?”

“Besides, the license plate is all nines. Oh, my! That license plate is incredible!”

“The only person to have a car like that with such a special license plate with the surname ‘Youngblood’ in Strico can only be Jonathan Youngblood.”

“Did Rosalie really marry Jonathan? This is shocking!”

“With that, Rosalie can do whatever she wants in Strico in the future!”

For a while, everyone was buzzing with discussions and speculations.

Elodia felt embarrassed. Earlier, she had claimed that Rosalie was unmarried and had come to work to support her unborn child.

However, right then, she had left in an extended Lincoln and possibly married Jonathan.

The wife of the wealthiest man of Strico would hardly need to work and earn a modest salary.

At that moment, Elodia wished she could hide somewhere else.

Rosalie followed the group and arrived at the hospital. Leonard was still lying on the bed, just as the last time she had seen him, with an IV drip attached to his hand.

Rosalie noticed that Leonard looked even thinner than when she had last seen him as if the spark of life had gradually faded from him.

It was as if he was then merely holding onto life by the thinnest thread, and it wouldn’t be long before he had to depart from the world.

“I know you and Jonathan are married, but you don’t deserve him-not to mention the Youngblood family.” Leonard expressed his disdain for Rosalie without reservation.

“Even if you don’t think I deserve it, I am already married to him,” Rosalie replied calmly.

“If you divorce him, I will give you enough money. As for the three children in your stomach, you may get rid of them. There’s no need for you to give birth to any children for the Youngblood family, and you are not qualified to bear the Youngblood family’s bloodline, Leonard said coldly, his eyes devoid of emotion.

Rosalie responded with composure, “I don’t need money, and I won’t divorce him. I am not giving birth to these three children for the Youngblood family. I’m doing it for myself.”

She wanted to be their mother and have her own family. She hoped that the three little lives could come to see the world. That was why she was willing to bet her life on giving birth to the three children. It wasn’t for anyone else!

Leonard coughed as if he was angry. “Do you think you can spend the rest of your life with him? One day, you will want to leave him willingly.”

“I swore to his father’s photo that I would be a good wife and stay with him for the rest of my life,” Rosalie said.

Leonard’s aged face was full of mockery. “You won’t leave? That sounds nice. Unfortunately, if you find out that he…”

Just then, the door of the ward swung open. A figure quickly rushed in and ran to Rosalie nervously. “Are you okay?”

Rosalie was surprised that Jonathan had arrived so quickly. “I’m fine.”

Then, her gaze shifted back to Leonard. “Mr. Youngblood, I should have addressed you as ‘Grandpa,’ but perhaps if I did, it would only annoy you. I can tell you that no matter what I find out, I won’t leave him and get a divorce. I won’t abort my three children.”

When Jonathan heard that, his body trembled. At the thought of something, he looked straight at Leonard. He thought, “Could it be that… Was he trying to reveal the truth about the accident that year to Rosalie?”

Only the revelation of the truth about that accident would make him so anxious, fearing that she might find out.

“Grandpa, there are things that shouldn’t be said or done. If you said or did something, then…” Jonathan’s voice turned cold. “I will ensure that the Youngblood family goes down with you. I’m a man of my word!”
