The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 651

Chapter 651

“Do you really want to know?” Rosalie stared at Warren with a gloomy expression. “Amelia asked Aiden why he wanted to fight, and the reason behind Aiden’s fighting was that the children in kindergarten were all saying that his mommy was a criminal and a bad person! And if we’re being honest, Mr. York, it’s all because of your fiancée Irene Fletcher. If she hadn’t made the matter public at the kindergarten, the children there wouldn’t have known about it.”

Warren’s expression suddenly darkened as he looked at Amelia, who was sobbing uncontrollably, his emotions a tumultuous mix.

“Mr. York, do you really have nothing to do with Amelia’s case from the past? You’ve never experienced life in jail. You can’t understand what it’s like. For you, it might be a minor testimony, but for Amelia, it’s an everlasting stain on her life!” Rosalie didn’t wait for Warren’s response. She approached Amelia, offering her comfort and support.

After a long time, Amelia finally stopped crying.

“Amelia, don’t worry about Aiden’s hearing aid. I’ve talked to Jon, and he’s going to have the doctor create a custom fitting for Aiden, so there won’t be any need for another surgery to replace it,” Rosalie reassured

her.

Warren stepped forward and declared, “No need. I’ll arrange to have my son’s hearing aid customized.” Amelia was stunned.

Rosalie frowned. She couldn’t stop Warren from wanting to customize a hearing aid for Aiden because Warren was Aiden’s father.

After crying and letting out her emotions, Amelia gradually regained her composure. She stood up and addressed Rosalie with heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Rosalie, thank you, but you guys don’t need to bother about the hearing aid.”

She didn’t want the hearing aid to cause any more conflicts.

Rosalie nodded and said, “Jon and I will take you back.” However, Warren interjected, “I can send them back. You don’t need to go through the trouble.”

Warren then crouched down and gently lifted Aiden into his arms.

Aiden’s eyes widened as he gazed at Warren. Even though they had only met a few times, Aiden recognized Warren as his father.

Deep within, Aiden harbored a longing for his father, so when Warren picked him up, he didn’t resist; instead, he felt a sense of happiness wash over him.

“Since Daddy is here, does that mean he and I can protect Mommy together? That way, Mommy won’t cry anymore!” the little boy thought to himself.

He was also aware that whenever he got hurt in a fight, his mother would become distressed. However, he disliked it when other children labeled her as a bad person. To him, his mommy was the best.

Warren left with Aiden cradled in his arms, leaving Amelia with no choice but to bid farewell to Rosalie before hurrying to catch up with them.

Watching the three of them leave, Rosalie felt a sting in her eyes.

“What’s the matter? Your eyes are red,” Jonathan asked.

“I just feel… sad. They could have been a happy family, but things turned out this way. Do you think Warren ever loved Amelia?” Rosalie murmured,

“Yes,” Jonathan affirmed.

“How can you be so sure?” Rosalie asked curiously.

“I can tell from the way he looked at Amelia. It’s just that he may not realize it yet,” Jonathan said.

People are often like this. One may have feelings that others could see clearly, but they had no idea.

“Warren loved Amelia, but now he’s about to marry another woman. And back then, he was responsible

for putting the woman he loved in prison. Even if Warren regrets it one day, Amelia may not forgive him. Amelia’s entire life has already been destroyed. So, what if he repents and regrets his actions?”

Rosalie couldn’t help but feel sorry for Amelia. She had fallen in love with a man who ultimately played a role in her incarceration.

Now, Warren dared to fight for custody!

Jonathan’s body stiffened. “Do you really think Amelia will never forgive Warren if he genuinely regrets his actions one day?”

Rosalie pondered and said, “I don’t know. I’m not Amelia.”

“Then… What if it were you?” Jonathan asked hesitantly.

“If it were me, I wouldn’t forgive you,” Rosalie replied. “Some mistakes can be forgiven, but some can’t. Sometimes, what people call forgiveness just means that the person can no longer evoke emotions and feelings as if they were just a stranger. They cease to have any impact on you.”

Upon hearing that, Jonathan’s chest felt constricted, as if something heavy weighed on it. His heart seemed to be submerged in icy water.

“Okay, let’s go,” Rosalie said. However, after taking a couple of steps, she noticed that Jonathan hadn’t caught up with her. She turned back to look at him, finding him standing there. “Jon?” she called out in confusion.

Only then did Jonathan seem to snap out of his reverie, and he offered a faint smile. “Okay. Let’s go.”

On the way back, Jonathan remained mostly silent. Even when Rosalie brought up a few topics, he responded briefly and didn’t engage in further conversation.
