The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 654

Chapter 654

Rosalie thought, ‘What is Jon feeling unsettled about? We’ve already made up and started afresh. Everything is moving in a better direction!

Or is this all just my imagination?’

When the kiss ended, Jonathan’s captivating eyes stared straight at Rosalie and said, “Rosalie…” Jonathan’s hoarse voice was enchanting. Rosalie felt her soul tremble when he called her name. Jonathan hugged Rosalie tight as if he was holding the most precious treasure.

Meanwhile, Rosalie stayed quietly in Jonathan’s arms, feeling his heartbeat and breath.

Rosalie realized she had fallen deeper for Jonathan. Ever since she let go of the concern she had, her love for him soared.

Rosalie hugged Jonathan back with both hands and heard him say in a low voice beside her ears. “Promise me that we will forget everything in the past. We’ll start over afresh.”

Rosalie replied with a smile, “I thought we already did.”

“Promise me. Forget them!” Jonathan seemed to insist.

“Okay, okay. We will forget all the unhappy and unpleasant things in the past. It’s all gone,” answered Rosalie.

With that, Jonathan seemed relieved and continued, “We’ll have a wedding once the baby is born. I want everyone to know that you are my wife!”

Jonathan was determined to spend the rest of his life loving and spoiling Rosalie to make up for all the pain she had been through. The only thing he wished for was to grow old with her.

Meanwhile, Aiden’s new hearing aid was ready in just two days, which showed how much effort Warren had

put into it.

After putting on the hearing aid, Aiden thanked Warren politely, “Thank you, Daddy!” Then, he hugged Amelia and said, “Mommy, I’m sorry. I will protect the hearing aid carefully next time. I won’t break it again.”

After all, Aiden knew that hearing aids cost a lot of money. He also remembered that Amelia had to work very hard every day to save up for his hearing aid in the past. It was with Rosalie’s help in the end that Aiden got his hearing aid.

Aiden knew Warren got him his current hearing aid. However, he was confused by why his father seemed like one of the rich men he saw in stories while his mother was poor.

Still, Aiden was confident he could make a lot of money in the future and provide Amelia with a good life.

At that moment, Warren suddenly envied the intimacy between Aiden and Amelia. Aiden was not against spending time with Warren. Instead, Aiden was even sometimes excited and looked forward to it. However, Warren realized Aiden was always careful and polite when they were together. Thus, it was completely different than when Aiden was with Amelia.

“Is this the difference between a father and mother? Or is it because I have never been with him since the day he was born?” wondered Warren.

Thinking of that, Warren felt a weight on his chest. “My only son was born in prison!” he thought. Warren wondered what he would have done if he had known earlier. His heart skipped a beat as he pondered if he would have let the child be born if he knew. However, at that moment, even he did not have the answer to that question.

Meanwhile, Amelia hugged Aiden and said, “Do you know? You’re the most important thing to me. I don’t care what others say about me, but I’ll be said if you get hurt.”

Aiden nodded his little head with determination in his eyes. “I won’t make Mommy sad anymore!”

Amelia smiled gently and touched her son’s soft little cheek.

Warren was lost in his thoughts as he watched the warm interaction between the mother and son. In the past, Warren had never thought about what Amelia would look like if she became a mother. However, he saw it now.

At that moment, Warren recalled Amelia once smiled at him and said, “You will probably be the strict father if we have children in the future.”

“What about you?” Warren asked.

“Me? I’ll probably be the doting mother.”

“Haven’t you heard that a permissive mother produces spoiled children?”

“I will definitely be a good mother and educate my children well!”

Warren didn’t know whether Amelia could educate her child well. However, he knew she was a good mother in their son’s eyes.

Suddenly, Amelia frowned, and her face changed. Then, she told Aiden, “Aiden, go talk to Daddy. I need to go to the restroom.”

After saying that, Amelia turned around and walked toward the restroom at the end of the corridor. On the way over, she subconsciously covered her upper right abdomen with one hand.

Warren looked at Amelia’s back and couldn’t help but narrow his eyes.

Walking into the restroom, Amelia took a few deep breaths and pressed her right hand tightly on her right abdomen as she endured the pain.

A few months ago, Amelia began to feel a slight pain in that area occasionally, but it would always go away after a while. However, lately, the pain has worsened.
