The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 752

Chapter 752

Jonathan raised his hand and turned off the faucet. He put on the bathrobe and walked to the mirror in front of the sink to look at himself.

His wet hair stuck to his cheeks was still dripping wet.

The water droplets on his face looked like tears.

“Grandpa, the day you speak of will never come. I won’t destroy myself, and Rosie won’t leave me. We are destined to have a happy ending.”

His low voice was filled with firm determination.

Rosalie and Jonathan remained in the mansion for the next few days.

When they were free during the day, Rosalie would make video calls with Lillian, Amelia, and Aiden. When Lillian and Amelia found out Rosalie had gotten back with Jonathan, they all blessed her.

Amelia did not know what had happened, but Lillian did.

“Have you really let it go?” Lillian asked Rosalie in private. After all, she had been involved in the case from beginning to end. She knew how hard Rosalie had suffered in prison and how much the case impacted her.

She was even tormented to the point where she tried to claim her own life when she was in prison.

“Yes, I will try my best,” Rosalie said.

“That’s good.” Lillian was finally relieved. “My parents also said that they wanted to visit you and Jonathan in the new year. My parents always wanted to thank you for saving my life. If it weren’t for you, I would have died.”

“Your parents have thanked me enough. Besides, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be here too,” Rosalie said.

There was no need for many words between friends. They understood each other’s feelings.

After deciding on the visiting date during the new year, Rosalie ended the call and happened to see Jonathan walking over.

“By the way, Lillian said she wanted to come here with her parents to greet us for the new year. Will you be home?” Rosalie asked.

“Tomorrow…” Jonathan frowned and answered, “I might not be free tomorrow.” “Are you busy? Then, I’ll talk to Lillian again and let her change the date,” Rosalie said. Then, she seemed to think of something. “Uhm, Jon, can you remove some bodyguards and security guards from the house? You don’t need that many people accompanying me.”

It felt like there were a bunch of people following her everywhere Rosalie went.

It would be fine if she were at home. If she were outside, even when she was

within the Youngblood residence property, a bunch of people would still be around her.

“I can’t withdraw them,” Jonathan said after hesitating for a moment. Instead, he wanted to assign more people around Rosalie.

“Why do you have so many people following me? Could it be that… Do you think I’ll leave you?” she suddenly asked.

He pursed his lips tightly and remained silent.

“So, you don’t trust me?” She stared at him with her eyes wide open. “I said I wouldn’t leave. Don’t you believe me?”

“I…” His body stiffened slightly, and he said, “I believe you.”

still

At the very least, he wanted to believe that she had forgiven him and would genuinely spend the rest of her life with him, regardless of the uneasiness he felt in the corner of his heart.

“If you believe me, withdraw those people. Just leave Renee alone to protect me like before. I don’t want so many people following me whenever I go out.” She felt like she was being watched by a bunch of people.

“No,” he immediately rejected.

“Why?” she asked.

“No matter what, you must have plenty of people following you to protect you,” Jonathan said in a deep voice. He did not want to tell her about Kurt and Yvette’s escape from prison.

After all, he only had some speculations, and the truth remained unconfirmed. Besides, she would be having a C-section in another week. If he caused her to worry and fear, he was afraid it would affect her health.

Rosalie suddenly felt upset. Jonathan said he trusted her but in fact, did not.

“Jonathan, is there so little trust between us? What exactly do you want me to do for you to believe that I won’t leave you?” she asked without even realizing she had raised her voice.

He fixed his eyes on her as if wanting to see through her. “Then, kiss me.”

“What?” She was stunned and was slow to react.

“Kiss me. If you kiss me, I will believe that you won’t leave me,” he said. He then thought, “Just think of this as giving me some confidence so that I can be more determined to trust her and that she genuinely loves me.”

All this time, his love for her seemed to deepen. Only he was growing more reluctant to part with her in this relationship.

She was willing to marry him because of the children. She was willing to love him. again for Lillian’s sake and to give the children a complete and happy family. He could not help but think if she was also willing to forgive him for the children’s sake.

Jonathan wondered if she forgave him to provide a perfect family for the children.
