The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 754

Chapter 754

Jonathan narrowed his dark eyes and stared at Kurt. “Really? You didn’t know she escaped from prison?”

“I don’t know,” Kurt insisted.

“All right, what is the matter you mentioned earlier that you insisted on discussing with me in person? Why not talk about it now?” Jonathan said.

“Mr. Leonard Youngblood said he wanted to make a bet with you if Rosalie found out the truth after his death, and she still stayed with you.”

“Bet?” Jonathan was stunned.

“Yes, bet!” Kurt replied. “Mr. Leonard Youngblood wanted to make a bet with you to see if you would be like your father, willing to sacrifice everything, even your own life, for the sake of a woman.”

Jonathan’s face suddenly darkened. “What do you mean?” he asked. “Grandfather has gone now. How could he bet on such a thing?” he wondered.

Kurt smiled but remained silent. However, with his swollen face, the smile was somewhat unsettling.

“Tell me! What does it mean?” Jonathan’s voice deepened, and his cold eyes suddenly became sharp.

“When the time comes, you will naturally know,” Kurt said. “Mr. Leonard Youngblood hoped you remember the lesson from your father, that in the end, you will get nothing, risking everything for a woman,” he added.

“How I handle things is none of your business!” Jonathan stepped forward and grabbed Kurt by the collar. “What did my grandfather tell you to do? You better tell me. Otherwise, you’ll be the one in trouble.”

Kurt seemed indifferent as he replied, “I had nothing back then, and I followed Mr. Leonard Youngblood. He saved my life. Now that he’s gone, of course, I have to follow his orders. Mr. Youngblood, I’ve said what needs to be said. I won’t reveal what shouldn’t be said. When the time comes, you’ll know. You’ll naturally know.”

Jonathan pursed his thin lips tightly. He naturally knew what kind of person Kurt was. He was the most loyal of the people around Leonard.

He pondered, ‘Grandfather… What exactly did you order him to do?

A bet?

Grandpa has gone, and now there’s a bet on whether I’d sacrifice my life for a woman. How does he plan to make this bet? However, no matter how the bet goes, that woman… Rosie is inevitably involved!’

“Rosie?” Jonathan’s body suddenly trembled as if he had just thought of

something. Without hesitation, he took out his phone and dialed Rosalie’s

number.

But there was no answer from the other end of the phone.

Jonathan’s expression suddenly turned extremely gloomy. Off to the side, Carlos seemed to sense something. He said anxiously, “Mr. Youngblood…”

“Contact the people at the manor immediately and ask them to confirm Rosalie’s current situation. Also, strengthen the security around the bedroom,” Jonathan instructed.

“Yes!” Carlos quickly replied.

He hastily called the manor’s security head and began to give instructions regarding the matter.

After a while, Carlos’s face suddenly turned pale. He panicked and hurriedly said to Jonathan, “Mr. Youngblood, something’s wrong. Mrs. Youngblood is missing!”

“What?” Jonathan suddenly snatched the phone from Carlos’s hand, sternly questioning the person on the other end, “What’s going on? Where is Rosalie? She’s not in the manor?”

There was a panicked and stuttering voice on the other end of the phone, “We… went to Mrs. Youngblood’s room. Renee and the caregiver are unconscious in there, and there is no sign of Mrs. Youngblood. There are no surveillance cameras in the bedroom, but the outside one shows that Mrs. Youngblood has never left the bedroom. Also, in the room… there’s still some undispersed sedative.”

“Search! Turn the whole manor upside down and find her!” Jonathan ordered. He threw the phone back to Carlos and stared at Kurt as if he was going to kill someone. He grabbed Kurt’s hair with one hand and pushed him against the wall. “Tell me, where did you take Rosalie? If anything happens to her, I’ll take your life!” With a thud, Kurt’s head hit the wall heavily.

However, Kurt started to laugh instead. “Even if you kill me, I won’t tell you. When the time comes, you will naturally know!”

“Say it!” Jonathan ruthlessly slammed Kurt’s head against the wall. At that moment, all he could think about was Rosalie.

Carlos fearfully looked at Jonathan, whose face was clearly filled with a strong sense of hostility right now. For Jonathan, Rosalie was untouchable.

Kurt would have to die here if things continued like that.

As Carlos thought about it, he hurriedly said to Jonathan, “Mr. Youngblood, why don’t you take Mr. Wilmer back to the Youngblood residence first? He must know something. If you really make him… um, if he ends up in the hospital, we might not get any information from him.”

Carlos tried to be gentle.

His words finally calmed Jonathan a little.

“Take Kurt back to the Youngblood residence!” With that, Jonathan left Kurt
