“Please excuse us,” Jonathan said. 

Thus, the teacher left the room, leaving Jonathan and Guillermo inside. 

Jonathan examined the puzzle his son was putting together, which had about a thousand pieces. 

A puzzle piece like that would take a grown-up a great deal of time to complete. However, it seemed like second nature for Guillermo as the puzzle grew swiftly under his hand. His mind barely needed to process his actions. 

Jonathan figured out that Guillermo’s puzzle was a picture of two boys and a girl. The three children looked like triplets. Jonathan wondered, “Is he thinking of his younger brother and sister?” 

Carlos had told him he had a wife named Rosalie, who was pregnant with triplets. when he woke up in the hospital. Unfortunately, she ended her life by jumping into the ocean, and only one of her children survived. 

Jonathan had no idea how Guillermo had found out about the triplets when he was a bit older, stubbornly believing that he was supposed to have a younger brother and sister. 

Jonathan also found it strange. “Why do they have to be a boy and a girl? Can’t they be of the same gender?” he asked. 

“It’s just the way it is,” Guillermo replied in his childish voice as if having a younger brother and sister was the most natural thing in the world. 

There was a momentary silence as Jonathan sat next to Guillermo and watched him complete his puzzle before saying, “Daddy can adopt another younger brother for you if you’re so keen on having one.” 

After all, Jonathan’d adopted a daughter only because Guillermo suddenly wanted a younger sister after seeing Agyness and Wrenna being severely bullied on the 

streets. 

So Jonathan sent someone to propose that if Wrenna agreed to become his adopted daughter, Wrenna would receive full financial support from the Youngblood family until she reached adulthood. The Youngblood family would also protect Wrenna, ensuring she would never be harassed as long as she didn’t cause any trouble. 

Moreover, Wrenna would be Jonathan’s adopted daughter in name only, as she would not have to be separated from Agyness or move into the Youngblood residence. The Youngblood family would buy a separate mansion for Agyness and Wrenna to live in, and a certain amount of money would be deposited into Agyness’s account each month to cover child support. 

As expected, the child support was not small. The 40,000 dollars a month covered

Still, Jonathan noticed that Guillermo didn’t seem particularly fond of Wrenna after she became the adopted daughter of the Youngblood family and only greeted her in passing. They never even played together. 

“It’s okay.” Guillermo shook his head. “I don’t want a younger brother of any kind.” Now that Guillermo had one, he knew what it was like to have a younger sister. Wrenna usually followed Guillermo like a timid little girl. 

However, Guillermo noticed that Wrenna would brag to her friends about her belongings, claiming that some were gifts from Jonathan when the truth was just the opposite. 

Having a younger sister was nothing special. 

“Daddy, are you going to marry Ms. Sabatini?” Guillermo blurted out 

unexpectedly and raised his head to look at Jonathan. 

Guillermo looked almost identical to Jonathan, particularly his delicate features and jet-black hair. Guillermo’s fair skin appeared to be so supple that made people want to kiss it. 

However, Guillermo’s shapely eyes were icy and seemed devoid of emotion. 

Jonathan’s eyes narrowed slightly. He was surprised that even Guillermo had gotten wind of such a rumor. It seemed like someone was having illicit thoughts. “No, I’m not going to marry her.” 

Jonathan answered with absolute certainty. 

“Oh.” Guillermo didn’t say anything more, and their conversation ended. 

The housekeeper entered the room to assist Guillermo in washing up while Jonathan returned to his study. He walked to one of his drawers and thought for a moment before slowly opening it. 

Inside was a marriage certificate. It was now void due to the death of Jonathan’s wife, Rosalie. 

Jonathan stared at the image of Rosalie on the marriage certificate. Rosalie’s pretty face had a gentle and peaceful smile that seemed like it could soothe one’s restlessness. 

In Jonathan’s opinion, Rosalie’s features were pleasant at best and far from stunning, as he had met plenty of gorgeous women. 

Yet Jonathan had once loved-Rosalie, and he married and have children with her. 

Jonathan should have married a woman of equal status to the Youngblood family, like Melanie. So, how could he fall in love with Rosalie who had been sentenced to prison?
