The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 827

Chapter 827

Lillian couldn’t help but feel touched. Back in the day when she was seriously injured, Rosalie had done everything to protect her, and right then, it was still the same.

“Okay. I understand,” Lillian said. “Rosalie, it’s good to have friends like you!”

Madeline stared coldly at the video on her phone. The video showed the moment when Callum took Lillian away in front of a crowd of reporters.

It was a short video, only about a minute long, but Madeline watched it repeatedly.

Her face grew colder with each viewing.

Her parents had already called, asking her what had happened. She wanted to contact Callum to get some answers, but she couldn’t reach him at all. Even though she had called several times, nobody answered her call:

When she tried to contact Callum’s subordinates, they only offered her vague responses!

After turning off the video, Madeline pondered for a moment before getting up and heading to Callum’s mansion in Strico.

When she arrived at the mansion’s entrance, the security guards stopped Madeline.

“Do you not know who I am?” Madeline asked irritably.

“Mr. White said that unless he permits it, no outsiders are allowed in the villa,” the security guard replied, clearly categorizing Madeline as an “outsider.”

Madeline cast a sharp glance at the security guard. “Go and tell Callum that if he doesn’t want me to get my hands on his precious treasure, he’d better let me in. Otherwise, the one who will regret it is him.”

The security guards had no choice but to contact the people inside the mansion. After a while, they let Madeline enter.

Madeline’s expression was unsightly. She had never expected that one day, she would be able to enter the mansion because of Lillian!

When she walked into the mansion, she saw Callum sitting on the couch in the living room, sipping a cocktail.

She knew that it was a drink he personally liked. Over the past five years, she had seen him drink that particular cocktail many times, and she even saw him make it himself.

Madeline knew that Callum had a preference for such kind of cocktail, but she didn’t know that it was originally Lillian’s favorite drink. Callum had learned to make it because Lillian liked it.

“You really can’t let go of Lillian, can you?” Madeline sneered. “As soon as I mentioned her, you let me in. If I hadn’t brought her up, were you planning to keep me outside forever?”

“You shouldn’t have messed with her,” Callum said calmly.

“I shouldn’t have messed with her? Have you ever thought about the position you’ve put me in? You held her hand and left in front of so many reporters. How do you expect me to explain this to them? Don’t forget-we’re getting married soon!” Madeline rarely displayed such frustration.

“That’s because you messed with her. I’ve told you long ago—don’t mess with her!” Callum replied with a cold voice.

Madeline shivered. “Did he know?” she thought to herself.

And what Callum said next made Madeline’s face flush with

embarrassment.

“Isn’t this what you wanted to see? You bribed verified accounts and reporters and even hired ghostwriters. It must have cost you a lot of money.”

Madeline’s heart skipped a beat. “He indeed knows!” she exclaimed in her heart.

“Madeline, you wanted to force me to make a choice, right? Now, I’ve made my choice,” Callum said.

Madeline clenched her teeth fiercely. She realized that everything she had done had been seen through by the man.

Yes, she wanted to test him that way. She had intentionally set up a situation to make Lillian face public criticism and be vilified by the public.

She wanted Callum to publicly distance himself from Lillian. Only then could she truly feel at ease marrying him.

But she never expected that Callum would choose Lillian instead!

“Do you realize the consequences of your choice? Are you going to turn

against the Tall family? Don’t forget-your success today is thanks to whom?” Madeline threatened.

Callum lowered his eyes and looked at the cocktail in his hand. It was Lillian’s favorite drink. She had always said that it had a refreshing taste.

Over the years, he had drunk that cocktail countless times. He wished he could make another one for Lillian to see if his skills had improved compared to five years ago.

“You wanted the Tall family and the White family to turn against each other, didn’t you? Why else would you make me make such a choice?” Callum said. “I know very well who I owe my success to. I’m also well aware of what the Tall family did five years ago.”

Madeline’s body trembled suddenly. A flash of panic passed through her eyes. She kept persuading herself that he couldn’t have known the truth.

If he really knew, how could he have kept silent for five years?
