The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 851

Chapter 851

When the song ended, many people around clapped their hands.

Only Jennifer looked at the young boy in confusion and approached him. “You can clearly play it better. Why did you deliberately play it poorly?”

As soon as she said that, the other adults on the side immediately said, “Girl, this young boy played well. Don’t make baseless accusations!”

“That’s right, he played it well. This piece is quite challenging to play. Some learning it for years may not play it as well!”

“But he did play poorly on purpose!” Jennifer pouted, fixing her gaze on the young boy, wanting to know why.

The boy, however, ignored Jennifer’s words and started to get up from his chair, preparing to leave.

Jennifer’s tiny hand grabbed the young boy’s arm and said, “Can you play it again, please? Play it properly this time, not poorly.”

The little boy frowned, wanting to shake off her hand.

However, Jennifer held on to his arm tightly.

Upon seeing the situation, Rosalie was about to say something to make Jennifer let go, but another little figure rushed toward Jennifer and the little boy.

It was Wrenna.

“Jennifer, he played so well. Why are you saying he played poorly? You think play better, don’t you?” Wrenna said.

She disliked seeing Jennifer steal the spotlight. Besides, she had learned piano before, and her piano teacher always praised her.

However, she didn’t know how to play the piece of music that the boy played. She only heard it before from her piano teacher.

Her teacher had mentioned that it required many years of practice to master it.

This boy must be a genius since he could play so well.

At that moment, Wrenna spoke up merely because she wanted to humiliate Jennifer.

“Wrenna, why would you say that to Jen?” Agyness said, approaching Wrenna. She then turned to Rosalie and Jonathan with an apologetic look. “Jen must have a reason for saying so.”

“What reason can there be? She just said whatever she wanted. If she’s that good, she should play it herself!” Wrenna pouted as she spoke. “She doesn’t play it, yet she’s criticizing others.”

“Jen, I’m sorry. Wrenna just thinks you shouldn’t criticize others freely. Don’t mind her,” Agyness said with a mild demeanor, trying to portray herself as a

gentle person.

However, Jennifer appeared to pay little attention to Agyness and turned to the young boy again. “If I play it, can I point out what’s wrong with you?”

She spoke straightforwardly while looking at him with her clear and pure eyes. The little boy pursed his lips tightly and remained silent.

“In that case, don’t leave. I’ll play it for you,” Jennifer said. Then, she let go of the boy’s hand and walked toward the piano.

Many onlookers couldn’t help but comment, “Alas, these kids nowadays. Do they think they can play a piece like that just because they’ve seen others play it?” “Does this kid think she could play the piano well after learning it for a few days?”

“Hey, aren’t you adults going to step in? You’re going to let her play? This piano is worth 200 thousand dollars. It will cost a lot for repair if she damages it with her random playing.”

As expected, when Jennifer attempted to sit on the piano bench, a staff member stopped her.

“Why can he play it, but I can’t?” Jennifer asked in confusion.

“He’s different,” the staff member replied.

“What’s different about him?” Jennifer asked.

At that moment, another staff member approached the first and whispered a few words. The expression of the staff member who stopped Jennifer immediately changed. Then, with a respectful attitude, he moved. “Sorry, Miss. You may play the piano.”

Although Jennifer found it strange, she didn’t dwell on it and sat at the piano. Rosalie was puzzled and turned to Jonathan. “What’s going on? Did someone recognize you?”

Jonathan shrugged. “Maybe.”

The people around them watched as Jennifer prepared to play, thinking it would be an amusing spectacle.

On the other hand, Rosalie, Jonathan, and Guillermo were not worried that Jennifer would make a fool of herself. After all, they knew well the level of her piano skills, as they often listened to her play at home.

Agyness and Wrenna, however, were unaware of Jennifer’s skills, eagerly awaiting for her to make a fool of herself.

When Jennifer’s little hands danced gracefully over the piano keys, producing beautiful and harmonious notes, Agyness’ expression changed, and Wrenna stared in disbelief.

She thought, “This is… Jennifer playing? How is that possible? She plays it just like… a teacher!”
