Lillian clenched her teeth, not saying a word. 

Callum smiled bitterly. “It looks like you still prefer to see me in pain, right?” Saying that, he didn’t speak further and turned to leave. 

Lillian watched his retreating figure, feeling as if all the strength had left her body. She squatted down weakly, her hands tightly wrapped around her knees and her 

nose was sore.

“Why have things turned out this way between me and him? What should I do now? I have made up my mind, but why do I waver again because of him?” she thought. 

Zachary never expected to see Yvette again. 

Nonetheless, the woman in front of him now was different from the one he remembered. Yvette wore plain and cheap clothes, and her hair was dry and yellow, tied back with a simple hairband. The once radiant face now looked haggard, as if she were in her forties. 

Now, others might not believe that Yvette was once hailed as the city’s goddess by countless men.

“Why? You can’t recognize me after so long?” Yvette said. They were in a KFC restaurant, surrounded by various people coming in and out. Nobody paid attention to them.
