The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 886

Chapter 886

Rosalie’s heart raced with panic at the thought of the possibility that it might be Yvette. She was deeply afraid that, upon seeing the child again, he would have turned into a lifeless, cold body.

“Don’t be afraid,” Jonathan reassured Rosalie, embracing her tightly. “Nothing bad will happen to our child. Besides, Mr. Wilmer mentioned that he had extensively trained Zeki and imparted many skills to him. That little guy won’t necessarily let Yvette have her way without putting up a fight.”

Rosalie was momentarily stunned, while Jonathan told her about the things that Kurt had told him about Zekiah.

Rosalie struggled to hold back her tears as she listened, her eyes welling up and tears streaming down her cheeks.

She thought, ‘I can’t believe my child has to endure all of this at such a tender age! He’s as young as Jen, yet while Jen slept soundly in my arms like a baby, Zeki had been training, battling, and perhaps even fighting with dogs, all in pursuit of becoming a worthy heir to the Youngblood family.

But he’s still just a child, a child who can’t even speak fluently!’

“How… How could he do that? Why? Why does Zeki have to endure this?” Hearing this, Rosalie could hardly bear to listen any longer. Her heart brimmed with nothing but hatred for Kurt.

However, all this was the very ordeal that Zekiah had lived through, so she felt compelled to endure listening to it until the end.

Her hands clenched into fists, as though she were channeling all her strength to restrain her nearly shattered spirit.

Finally, Jonathan gently pried open Rosalie’s fist and prevented her from pinching her palm. “Your previous injury hasn’t fully healed yet. Clenching your fist like this will only make it worse.”

“But Zeki… suffered more than this,” Rosalie said agonizingly.

“I will certainly bring Zeki back, but you can’t disregard your injury like this. Just like today, to protect that little girl, your hand almost got hurt again,” Jonathan said, gently stroking the palm where her fingernails had just dug in.

“That child always protects Zeki. She genuinely cares for him, so how can I not protect her?” Rosalie replied.

“Even if you want to protect her, please pay more attention to your own well-being,” Jonathan urged. “Do you have any idea how important you are to me?”

Jonathan held Rosalie tightly in his arms once more. “Rosie, I love you. You mean more to me than the

entire world!”

He would sacrifice anyone, but never her.

To him, she was his entire world!

The kidnappers hadn’t sent any further messages or made any phone calls, almost as if they were affording them ample time to prepare the ransom.

Although the Youngblood family did not call the police as per the kidnappers’ condition, various experts in this field had secretly entered the manor and started all kinds of preparations. e manor and started all kinds of preparations.

As for Guillermo and Jennifer, Rosalie had them stay at home from kindergarten these few days for the sake of safety.

She couldn’t shake off the fear that something bad might befall the other two children as well.

The two little ones were keenly aware of the tense atmosphere in the house, and they had already grasped the unsettling reality that one of their brothers had been kidnapped.

At five years old, the children had a vague understanding of what kidnapping meant, and while their comprehension was limited, it remained a frightening concept for them.

Quillermo and Jennifer had distinct recollections of Zekiah. They had, after all, encountered him at the amusement park before this, which had left a lasting impression on them.

Jennifer’s eyes widened in astonishment when she learned that Zekiah was their brother, and she couldn’t

contain her surprise, repeatedly exclaiming.

Guillermo, on the other hand, was only stunned for a moment and then readily embraced the fact without much ado.

“Mommy, I promise I’ll save my brother,” Guillermo promised Rosalie, who was wearing a grim expression. Simultaneously, he spontaneously acknowledged Zekiah as his younger brother.

He was the eldest child, so he was determined to protect his younger siblings.

“Guille, I appreciate your intentions, but with so many people working to save your brother, all you need to do is stay at home with your sister for these few days,” Rosalie said gently, as she lovingly stroked Guillermo’s head.

Guillermo blinked his eyes but didn’t say anything more. Instead, he returned to his room, with Jennifer following him. Rosalie sighed with relief at the sight of the two little ones sticking together.

At the moment, Rosalie was preoccupied with Zekiah’s matters and lacked the energy to care for Guillermo and Jennifer. Fortunately, with Gary in the mansion, along with assistance from the servants, she didn’t have to be too concerned about them.

“Mr. Youngblood, we still haven’t located Zachary. The delivery company he works for mentioned he requested three days off, and we’ve dispatched someone to inquire with the Xanthos family. According to Zendaya, Zachary mentioned to her neighbor that he went out of town to collect debts for some people. Supposedly, they’ll get a significant sum of money once that’s settled,” Carlos relayed the latest information to Jonathan.

“Zachary Xanthos,” Jonathan said, enunciating each word, “I underestimated him. I never anticipated that he would collaborate with Yvette in orchestrating this.”
