The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 897

Chapter 897

Regarding when they would see Zekiah again, Rosalie explained, “Once Zeki’s discharged from the hospital, he’ll return to the Youngblood residence. You’ll be able to meet him then.”

“Okay, I promise to be a good big sister!” Jennifer tilted her chin upward, believing that being a big sister was the right role for her.

Just then, Felix, who had remained silent throughout, suddenly asked, “Will my mommy go to jail?”

Such a question, softly spoken from a child’s voice, cast a heavy pall in the air.

Rosalie looked at the child before her, and despite the grudges in her relationship with Yvette, she couldn’t help but see the innocence in the child.

“That’s something the judge will decide,” Rosalie replied, trying to soften the truth in the presence of the child. “Oh,” Felix murmured softly. He lowered his head and said nothing more.

Jonathan urged Rosalie, “All right, you should probably head back to the hospital now. You’ve been out for too long, and missing too much data monitoring from your hand could lead to inaccurate calculations.” “Okay,” Rosalie agreed. She bid farewell to the two children, and as she left, her gaze lingered on Felix for a

moment.

Once they were in the car, Jonathan asked, “What’s on your mind? Do you have any thoughts about that kid?” “I don’t have any particular thoughts, but I can’t help feeling sorry for the kid. If Yvette ends up in jail, we still don’t know who will take care of him. He has incredible musical talent, and it would be a shame if it goes to waste,” Rosalie replied.

“Normally, the kid would be looked after by Yvette’s parents. As for the kid’s biological father…”

“It’s not Zachary. Felix’s biological father is not Zachary. Yvette made it clear over the phone while we were on the mountain. She deliberately misled Zachary into thinking he’s Felix’s biological father,” Rosalie explained.

“It doesn’t really matter who the kid’s biological father is. He’s just a kid. Once the key arrives and the handcuffs are unlocked, I’ll hand the kid over to the police to handle,” Jonathan stated.

“What’s the situation with the Hamilton family now?” Rosalie asked. Since returning to Strico, she hadn’t heard anyone mention the Hamilton family.

“The Hamilton family has gone bankrupt. Howard and his wife owe a significant amount of debt and have already left Strico. I haven’t paid much attention to it, but if the police need to transfer the kid to them, they’ll be located naturally,” Jonathan replied.

Rosalie sighed, worried that it might not be a good thing if Felix ended up with Howard and his wife. However, it was ultimately the Hamilton family’s matter, and she didn’t want to get involved.

Back at the hospital, Rosalie had dinner and soon drifted off to sleep.

Jonathan, with half-idded eyes, watched the peaceful face of the one sleeping before him. “I’ll attend to some matters, but I’ll return shortly to be by your side. Don’t worry, I won’t let our children face any more danger.”

Jonathan rose from his seat, left the ward, and entered the car parked at the hospital entrance. “To the Youngblood residence.”

Inside the Youngblood residence, Gary was somewhat surprised to see Jonathan returning. Considering Rosalie was in the hospital, and knowing how much Jonathan cared for her, it was expected that he would remain by her side in the hospital.

“Where’s Jen?” Jonathan asked.

“Ms. Youngblood and Felix are in Ms. Youngblood’s bedroom. They should be going to sleep soon,” Gary replied.

Jonathan then made his way to his daughter’s bedroom.

As he pushed the door open, he discovered Jennifer and Felix lying on the bed. Felix seemed to have already

fallen asleep, while Jennifer was still holding a fairy tale book, narrating a story with great enthusiasm. Nearby, a housekeeper was present, looking after them.

Upon seeing Jonathan, the housekeeper quickly stood up.

“You can go for now,” Jonathan instructed the housekeeper.

The housekeeper softly hummed in acknowledgment and left the room.

“Daddy?” Jennifer looked at Jonathan with confusion. Gary had mentioned that Jonathan would be at the hospital with Rosalie for these few days, so she was wondering why he was back now.

“Were you just telling a story to Felix?” Jonathan asked gently, shedding the cold, aloof exterior he wore in public. In front of his daughter, he appeared like an ordinary father.

“Yeah!” Jennifer replied, speaking a bit softer than usual, as if afraid of waking Felix. “He couldn’t sleep, so I thought I’d tell him a story. That usually helps me fall asleep when I can’t sleep. Mommy used to tell me stories, and I’d fall asleep.”

Speaking of this, Jennifer hesitated for a moment and said to Jonathan, “Daddy, I know that Felix’s mommy is the bad person who wants to hurt Mommy and Zeki. But Felix’s not a bad guy. Can we not send him away? Let him stay here!”

Jonathan raised an eyebrow slightly. “Why? Do you really like him, Jen?”

“Yeah, I do.” Jennifer nodded, being quite straightforward.

“Why do you like him?” Jonathan asked.

“Because he can play the piano. Although he could have played even better, he didn’t. It’s kind of strange. But even so, I really want to hear him play the piano, and I’d love to play alongside him. It would be so much fun!” Jennifer explained.
