The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 905

Chapter 905

“I didn’t expect it to happen so easily. I was drunk that day and didn’t even know what I was doing,” Lillian said.

“What are your plans now?” Amelia asked.

Lillian fell silent for a moment, then said, “I don’t know. This child wasn’t part of my plan. If I have this child, I’ll be criticized unless I marry Callum. But I’m afraid…”

“Afraid that Callum doesn’t love you that much?”

“What he loves most is his career, his success. His upbringing destined him to pursue all possible benefits and positions. I don’t really see anything wrong with that. After all, no law dictates that one must choose love over career.”

Lillian paused and smiled bitterly. “I’m just afraid that if I marry him, I’ll love him too much. Yet, I can’t be as carefree as him. If he decides to divorce me one day, I won’t be able to bear it.”

Amelia gently patted Lillian on the shoulder. “Regardless of whether you want this child or not, you have the right to choose. But once you make a decision, don’t regret it in the future.”

Lillian was stunned and looked at Amelia. “Well… Amelia, do you regret having Aiden?”

“I never regretted giving birth to him. I even felt lucky to have him. Without him, I might have lost the courage to live a long time ago. He is my spiritual support,” Amelia said.

Lillian lowered her head, looking at her belly which was still flat. “What about me… What will this child become for me? A solace, or a burden?” she thought.

Rosalie’s surgery was completed after eight hours. The procedure went smoothly, following the most optimal surgical methods. There were no unexpected incidents during the operation.

However, the true outcome depended on her recovery post-surgery.

Levi, looking weary, came out and shared the news with the crowd waiting at the operating room’s

entrance.

“Mr. Sabatini, thank you. If you ever need anything in the future, I’ll be there to help!” Jonathan said. In Strico, getting such a promise from Jonathan was extremely rare.

“Don’t thank me yet. Let’s wait and see how she recovers,” Levi said, then walked away.

Due to the anesthesia, Rosalie hadn’t regained consciousness

yet.

Lillian and Amelia said to Jonathan, “She won’t have the energy to greet us when she wakes up. We should go back for now and come see her another day.” They felt more at ease now that they knew the surgery’s

outcome.

“Alright,” Jonathan agreed. “I’ll have someone fetch you.”

“No need. I drove here. I’ll take Amelia home,” Lillian said.

At that moment, Levi entered his private lounge in the hospital, only to find Calvin sitting there.

“How did the surgery go?” Calvin asked hurriedly.

“If you were so concerned, why didn’t you wait at the operating room’s door?” Levi asked.

“You know why,” Calvin replied. “I’ll be leaving Strico tonight. I just want to know if her surgery was successful before I go.”

When he said this, there was a trace of loneliness on his face.

Seeing Calvin’s expression, Levi couldn’t help but sigh. “The surgery went very well, better than I expected. However, the extent of her recovery will depend on her postoperative condition.”

“That’s good,” Calvin said, smiling faintly. This smile seemed to dispel some of his desolation.

As long as she was okay, it was the best outcome for him.

“How long will you be leaving Strico?” Levi asked.

“I don’t know. It depends on the project over there. Maybe I can come back in half a year, or maybe I won’t be back for three to five years,” Calvin said..

Levi didn’t say anything more. Calvin stood up. “Wait for me to come back. I’ll visit you at the clinic. I’m leaving!”

Calvin’s tall figure walked out of the lounge. Levi muttered to himself, “This kid, I wonder when he’ll be able to let go of Rosalie.”

Calvin reached the parking lot and was about to get his car when he suddenly stopped. Standing in front of him was Jonathan.

“Why aren’t you with Rosalie in the ward? Yet you’re here blocking me?” Calvin mocked.

“The anesthesia hasn’t passed yet, and it will be another hour before she wakes up,” Jonathan remarked casually. “But what about you? Why did you come to the hospital and sneak around, avoiding everyone?” “Are you hoping that Rosalie will know I’ve been waiting outside during her surgery?” Calvin asked, a mocking smile playing on his lips.
