Chapter 907

“All right then,” Lillian replied.

“What do you want to eat?” Jerick asked.

“Just something light,” Lillian said.

They came to a restaurant near the concert venue and ordered some light dishes.

While eating, Lillian felt sick again and hurried to the restroom to throw up.

After vomiting for a long time, she came out.

Jerick asked with concern, “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

“It’s morning sickness.” Lillian did not hide it. After all, she had asked him out to tell him the truth. “Morning sickness?” Jerick was stunned, and his expression froze as if he could not react at once. “When women get pregnant, some of us will experience morning sickness because of the hormone,” Lillian explained.

Jerick said, “I know what morning sickness is. Are you…”

“Well, I’m pregnant. Sorry,” she said as she looked at him with her clear eyes.

you are

Jerick suddenly understood why he had a good impression of Lillian. She was a very genuine person. “There’s nothing to be sorry about. We agreed to become ordinary friends.” Jerick said, “But pregnant now. You can’t go to the concert later. How about we give these two tickets to those who squat outside and cannot buy them? Let’s make the best use of them.”

“Well… You got the tickets with great difficulty. Let me pay you back. I can’t expect you to pay for them,” Lillian said hurriedly.

“No, it’s fine,” Jerick said, “What are your plans for the future? Have you told Callum about this?”

Lillian was immediately depressed. She did not even say that the baby belonged to Callum, but as long as others knew she was pregnant, they would guess that the child belonged to Callum!

“Is it that easy to guess?”

“He… Well, he knows,” Lillian said vaguely.

Seeing that, Jerick did not continue to ask but said, “If you need any help in the future, just come to me. I will try my best to help you.”

Lillian looked at him in surprise. “You…”

“Aren’t we friends? It’s normal for friends to help one another. Lillian, no matter what happens, I wish you happiness,” Jerick said sincerely.

“Thank you.” Lillian bit her lower lip slightly as she faced the kind man. She felt that she had let Jerick down.

After dinner, they came to the guild hall of the concert venue. Jerick gave the tickets to the young couple who were squatting outside the concert venue because they did not manage to procure the tickets. “Thank you!” The other party was very grateful. “I wish both of you a happy life that is filled with love!” “Huh?” Lillian was about to clarify their relationship, but the couple had already rushed toward the entrance with the tickets in hand.

Lillian could only look at Jerick awkwardly.

Jerick said, “It’s just a misunderstanding. Don’t worry.”

His casualness made her feel less embarrassed. Suddenly, a thought occurred to her, and she said, “By the way, please don’t tell anyone about my pregnancy. My… I haven’t told my parents.”

Jerick was slightly stunned, and a trace of surprise flashed in his eyes. Then he said, “Is it because Callum is not willing to bear the responsibility?”

“What?” Lillian blinked and was stunned for a moment when she heard what Jerick said.

“Callum refused to take responsibility, so you dare not tell your parents about your pregnancy?” Jerick

asked.

“Well… I didn’t tell my parents because…” But before Lillian could finish her words, a voice had already intervened. “Who exactly is the one who refused to take responsibility?”

Lillian trembled and felt a chill all over her body. Then she turned around and saw Callum standing a few steps behind her.

“Goodness gracious! When did he get here?”

Jerick was also surprised to see Callum. At that moment, the way Callum was staring at him gave Jerick an inexplicable chill.

Callum walked slowly to Lillian, bent down slightly, and questioned her, “What? Are you telling him that I’m not taking responsibility for the baby?”

“You… Don’t stand so close.” Lillian blushed and wanted to step back subconsciously.

But the very next moment, his big hand was already holding her waist. “Why didn’t you complain when you were even closer to me back then?” he uttered. His face looked a little pale under the moonlight, but there was a hint of ambiguity in his voice.
