The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 984

Chapter 984

Jennifer shouted at that moment, “Daddy! Daddy, look at me. I’m jumping!”

With that, Jennifer jumped around like Rosalie. Jonathan looked at her daughter’s cute look and glanced at Felix beside him.

“The Serton family in Lommore was investigating what happened to Yvette. What was it about this child? How did Yvette get involved with the Serton family? If Yvette really had something to do with the Serton family, she might not have taken her own life in prison back then. She would have taken advantage of the Serton family to fight back. Unless even she herself didn’t know she was related to the Serton family,” Jonathan thought.

With that in mind, Jonathan’s eyes flashed.

At that moment, Jennifer, who had just learned to jump rope, accidentally tripped and fell. Rosalie quickly held up the little girl and saw that her pants were scratched and torn. Thinking that Jennifer’s knees might have gotten scratched, Rosalie carefully rolled up her daughter’s trousers.

Felix and Guillermo also hurriedly surrounded Jennifer, looking at the obviously scraped skin on the tender calf and knee with some blood.

“Does it hurt?” Guillermo asked.

“It only hurts a little,” Jennifer said bravely, but the expression on her little face revealed her true pain.

However, when Rosalie treated her daughter’s wound, the little girl let out a loud cry. Her eyes, which looked similar to Rosalie’s, were teary.

Right then, Jonathan felt heartbroken and wanted to take the place of her daughter.

After Rosalie put the medicine on her daughter, Guillermo and Felix almost reached out their hands to Jennifer’s face at the same time. Only Guillermo touched Jennifer’s little face with his hand, wiping the tears off her.

“Lay a mat underneath before you jump rope. It won’t hurt if you fall,” Guillermo said.

Felix withdrew his hand silently, and a trace of disappointment flashed in his eyes. If possible, he also hoped that he could come forward and wipe off her tears so that she wouldn’t cry anymore.

After Rosalie changed the kindergarten for him, no one knew that he was the son of a criminal in the new kindergarten. They only thought that he was a child of relatives of the Youngblood family. In kindergarten, like other children, he didn’t face discrimination from others.

In the Youngblood family, however, he still felt out of place.

Many people there gave him strange looks, as if they were reminding him that he

was the son of a criminal, and his mother had hurt the Youngblood family deeply. Suddenly, Felix’s little body stiffened for a moment because he noticed Jonathan’s gaze. Jonathan kept staring at him sharply as if it were a warning.

Felix just couldn’t move in the face of such a look.

“Is it because I’m still a child? Is that why I feel so helpless? I want to grow up so badly! Will I still feel this sense of helplessness after I grow up?” Felix thought. That night, Rosalie asked Jonathan, “You seem to be looking at Felix all the time. today. He even turned pale because of that! What’s going on?”

Jonathan raised his eyebrows slightly when he heard that. He didn’t expect her to notice that.

“What do you think of Felix?” Jonathan asked.

“He’s okay.” Rosalie said, “He is smart and obedient. He doesn’t create trouble.” Children of that age were naughty, but Felix was so quiet that it broke Rosalie’s heart.

“This child has a good relationship with Jen, but he is Yvette’s child, after all,” Jonathan said.

Rosalie was slightly stunned. “The grudge between us and Yvette has nothing to do with the child.” She didn’t want to involve the child in that grievance.

Therefore, she had been deliberately suppressing that fact.

“You can think that it has nothing to do with him, but he may not think that his mother’s death is irrelevant to you,” Jonathan said. “If I want to protect Rosie and my children, then I must be extremely careful,” he thought.

Rosalie pondered for a moment and said, “At least, I have no guilty conscience and will treat Felix well. But if he really hates me and the Youngblood family, I won’t sit by!”

“Or wait for two years, and when Jen is not interested in him anymore, find another reason to send him somewhere else,” Jonathan said.

“Jen really treats Felix as a friend. Their relationship will only get better and better,” Rosalie said.

“Friend?” Jonathan chuckled. “They will never be friends.”

“But…”

“Okay, I see. As long as this child stays in the Youngblood family and doesn’t do anything that shouldn’t be done, I won’t hurt him. Besides, I might not even need to send him away because someone might come to get him,” Jonathan said. “What do you mean? Who’s going to get him? A member of the Hamilton family?” Rosalie asked,

“It depends. At least for now, I don’t know who will pick him up,” Jonathan replied and thought, “Does the Serton family in Lommore have anything to do with this child? Everything is still unknown.”
