The CEO's Lovely Twins novel Chapter 157

“This one.”

Kevin took a look around and pointed at the largest piece at the center, “I’ll take that one.”

One could tell from the expression of the on looking shop workers, that the piece was pricey. The shop owner was sophisticated enough to stay calm and asked, “Do you have any specific inquiries? Or you can give us your own design if you have one.”

“Not much, just one thing. It has to be special and match the vibe.”

“What kind of vibe?” A worker asked cautiously.

Closing his eyes, Kevin pondered for a while and said, “Hot and spicy.”

The worker twitched the corner of her mouth and looked at Joseph as if asking for help.

Frowning, Joseph stepped sideways and put on an aloof look.

“I don’t know him.”

Kevin pretended to not hear that and asked the shop owner, “I can give you a couple photo of hers and you can ask your designer to design according to her vibe. Just show me the designs until I’m satisfied.”

“Okay.” The shop owner heaved a breath of relief.

It was fine as long as they have a reference photo. Their worst nightmare was when the customer gave some ambiguous specifications which they didn’t know how to describe to the designers.

“Anything else from you two gentlemen?”

Kevin looked at Joseph, “I’m done here. Didn’t you have something to ask?”

“Yeah.” Joseph passed the shop owner a photo, “Can you make a necklace in this design?”

It was a silver lining necklace with a fine emerald installed. It looked stunning.

“This design?” The shop owner was stunned.

“Isn’t that the necklace you gave Addison six years ago?” Kevin glimpsed at the photo and was astonished, “Didn’t it go missing? You want to make another one? For who?”

Joseph gave him a long look.

Kevin shut his mouth and uttered, “All right, I’m sorry.”

Everyone knew Joseph and Hayden spent a lot of time together now. Who else could the necklace was for?

“Joseph, this doesn’t seem right.” Kevin couldn’t help but asked again, “Giving the same necklace to two different girls. Even though back then you didn’t manage to give it, but this doesn’t seem right.”

The shop owner spoke before Joseph answered him.

“I’ve seen this necklace before.”

Joseph lifted his head, “This necklace was made in this shop six years ago. It’s not a surprise that you’ve seen it.”

“Not six years ago.” The shop owner put on a mixed expression, “A woman came here two months ago asking can we find out who made this necklace.”

Joseph frowned and asked, “Can you still reach her?”

This necklace went missing six year ago and hadn’t been found since. It seemed someone took it.

The shop owner could tell the necklace was important looking at Joseph’s reaction. She said hurriedly, “She left her contact. I’ll go find it now.”

Looking at the shop owner’s back, Kevin gave Joseph a puzzled look, “Why is that necklace so important to you?”

Joseph looked at him expressionlessly, “My grandma left me that necklace.”

“You’re still saying this even when there’s no one else here.” Kevin put one of his legs onto another and said confidently, “It’s true your grandma left you that necklace, but you planned to make it into a necklace and give it to Addison. After all, you still can’t let her go, huh?”

Joseph wasn’t paying attention and just replied perfunctorily, “Say whatever you want.”

Kevin continued, “Addison called me last month, saying she was almost done with her divorce procedure, and should be back this month. It seems the past few years had been rough for her. If you still think about her, this is your chance.”

“I don’t live in the past like you.”

“Fine.” Feeling bummer, Kevin leaned on the sofa and said casually, “I suggest you tell Hayden about this, I mean it’s impossible that you don’t meet Addison after she comes back, right? Based on my own experience, it’s better for you to tell her than to let her find out about it herself.”

“Not necessary.”
