“You act like this because of this matter? What did Addison say to you?”
Joseph looked at her with a complicated expression.
When he could not find Hayden last night, his first thought was that perhaps she had known something. After all, he knew that the CEO of SG Group, East China was Addison only after she had checked in the hotel for several days.
“She didn’t say anything to me.” Hayden laughed self-deprecatingly, “She doesn’t really care about me either. After all, she is your childhood friend, your right and proper fiancée and your beloved. What does she need to say to me? The only thing that she needs to do is to stand next to you. You guys are perfectly compatible with each other and this is a properly matched marriage.”
“Hayden.”
Joseph interrupted her and said in displeasure, “Do you know what are you talking about.”
“I don’t know.” Hayden turned her face, not wanting to look at him.
“If you want to hear about Addison’s matter, let’s go to your office, I can tell you. But I really don’t like a woman who deliberately makes troubles out of nothing. You shouldn’t be this kind of person.”
Hearing this, Hayden clenched her fists. The building of thoughts she had done last whole night collapsed the moment she saw Joseph. The loss of her rational senses turned her into a resentful woman who deliberately made troubles out of nothing.
Although she herself also agreed with this kind of description, hearing such words from Joseph, she still felt pain as if a knife was cutting her.
She hurriedly went into the elevator.
“Forget it, I don’t have the mood for this right now. Let’s talk about it later.”
She chose to escape as she needed a little time to digest the matter last night.
Benjamin’s luggage was already packed. A small eighteen-inch case was easy to be carried. While hearing him talking about the overall trip planning, Hayden was distracted and she did not listen to most of his sentences.
“You don’t look well today, are you sick?”
Benjamin frowned while gazing at her. His eyes were full of concern.
“I’m fine.” Hayden regained her presence of mind and changed the subject, “By the way, when is the flight departure time this afternoon you mentioned just now? I’ll see you off.”
“No need, it’s at 3 p.m. You shouldn’t be able to catch it.”
“I can.” Hayden smiled faintly, “I just need to take a temporary leave.”
After leaving Benjamin’s place, Hayden directly went back to her office to work. When she passed by the office, the majority of the employees who normally worked in the morning had come. Except for greetings, Hayden kept feeling that they were looking at herself in a strange way.
After opening the door of her own office, she only then understood what the reason to have that kind of strangeness was.
Joseph surprisingly did not leave and even came to her office.
“Why are you here?” Hayden’s hand gripped the doorknob and she looked stunned.
“I need to talk to you about the matter last night. If you want everyone outside to hear, I don’t mind that you keep the door open when the conversations are on-going.”
Hayden was slightly stunned. She subconsciously glanced at the back. The office was so quiet that one could hear a pin drop clearly. All of them were cocking their ears and it looked like they were trying to eavesdrop.
She frowned and shut the door.
“What do you want to say?”
“Regarding the matter that Vivian is Addison, I didn’t know at all before yesterday.” Joseph came straight to the point in which he first explained that he did not know about the relationship between Addison and SG.
Hayden’s expression slightly eased but she did not say anything.
Joseph continued saying.
