When the plane landed, Hayden received a missed call as soon as she turned on her phone. After taking a glance at it, she flipped through her contacts and called Jeff.
“Hayden, you’re back!” As soon as the call got through, Jeff’s voice sounded on the other end of the call.
After that, Hayden asked, “Could you find the contact number of Vivien from SG Group?”
Addison had showed her severity on the first day of official inspection. She hadn’t been to the inspection ever since then, so she didn’t have Vivien’s contact number.
“Vivien?” Jeff’s tone was a little surprise, but he replied after a moment, “The operation department should have it. I’ll go and check it out for you.”
As soon as the taxi was heading towards the main road after leaving the airport, Hayden received Jeff’s message.
After comparing Vivien’s phone number with the missed call, Hayden narrowed her eyes and closed her phone screen to recover from her surprise. She wasn’t intending to take notice of this missed call.
Addison was the one who called her, and the purpose of her call was evident.
Furthermore, Hayden believed that she would call her again.
It was already afternoon when she arrived at her apartment. Hayden took a shower in a good mood. She hummed some melodies and cleaned her apartment, preparing to bring the two kids over this weekend.
Before she could finished cleaning her house, Addison’s call sounded again.
“Hello, who is it?” Hayden knowingly asked after the call was connected.
“It’s me, Vivien.”
The voice on the other end of the phone sounded a little indifferent, unlike her friendly attitude at the drink that day.
Hayden was calm, “What can I do for you?”
“Are you free? I need to talk to you.”
“If I remember correctly, the person in charge of the business cooperation between the SG Group and ST Hotel isn’t me. I think you’ve found the wrong person.”
“I’m not looking for you regarding the cooperation. It's a private matter.”
“What private matter do I have with you?”
“Hayden,”
Vivien sounded a little impatient, as if she could barely suppress her temper, “Stop asking when you already knew why. Do you think you can peacefully stay at Joseph’s side by hiding from me?"
Hayden almost laughed upon hearing this.
Hayden originally thought of how high-ranked she was, but she became so anxious when Hayden prodded her a little bit. Joseph was right. She was just a spoiled young lady.
They made an appointment to meet at a cafe on Yuedu Road three o’clock in the afternoon. It was the time when people had afternoon tea, but there weren’t much customers in the cafe. When Hayden took a look at the menu, she immediately understood the reason for their poor business.
The cheapest cup of Americano cost 1690 dollars.
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll pay for the bill.”
Addison’s voice sounded from opposite.
“Well, I’m still able to pay for this myself though.” Hayden closed the menu and smiled at the waitress, “A cup of plain water please, thank you.”
Addison frowned with a slightly surprised look on her face.
The waitress hesitated and looked at Addison.
“Give her a cup of plain water.” Addison said awkwardly.
It was probably because she felt embarrassed that Hayden ordered a drink that didn’t cost any money at such a high-end cafe.
Hayden looked extremely calm, “I just don't think that it will take the time for a cup of coffee to talk to you.”
“You didn’t want to see my face that much?” Addison looked at her coldly, “So you know about the relationship between me and Joseph?"
