Viola’s words were like buzzing noise to Hayden and just fled past her ears. She only frowned and left right away.
To Hayden, Viola’s mentality of blaming everything to the other party after breakup would only get bitten herself.
The dinner was surprisingly smooth and Franklin didn’t mention the acquisition.
When it’s around 9 o’clock, someone suggested that they should go to another party. Looking at all men’s colliding eyes, Hayden understood what kind of parties they wanted to go next.
Then she smiled, “Well, I’m afraid I have to pass. It’s late and I have to tuck my kids in.”
“I’ll send President Downey home.” Franklin immediately said.
All the guests were pretty tipsy, but Franklin was weirdly sober. Hayden looked at him in bewilderment, not knowing what he wanted to do.
“There is no need of that.” Glancing at Franklin, Hayden said, “Sending Ms. Kidman back home safely is far more important to President Hawkins. I have my driver.”
“Didn’t President Downey’s driver just called in busy and left?” Franklin looked at Hayden smilingly which made her extremely uncomfortable.
“Doesn’t President Downey trust me? Well, there is no need of worrying. I meant to ask my driver to send you home. I still got to accompany Mr. Wright for the next round of drinking.”
Hayden was taken aback that he even knew that her driver left. She then though that if she acted like she hated Franklin, she would probably lose a bunch of potential customers in this circle.
After weighing up pros and cons, Hayden agreed.
Franklin then smiled and pushed his glasses.
Then he said to other people, “Mr. Wright, how about we send President Downey to the door. She is the only woman tonight. We got to make sure she is safe, right?”
“Sure. Sure.”
People all chimed in with his words. They were all pretty drunk and even two managers which Hayden brought along started nodding. Anna was furious and winked at Hayden meaningfully.
Franklin did say that he would ask his driver to send Hayden home, but considering the tense relationship between the two companies, it’s a bit dangerous.
Franklin’s driver had already pulled up the car which was a deep blue Porsche when a group of people sent Hayden to the door.
Acting like a gentleman, Franklin stepped forward and opened the car door for Hayden, “President Downey, would you please?”
Holding her bag, Hayden let out a smile after seeing the woman who was sitting within the car.
“Well, I believe President Hawkins should be the one who gets on.”
“President Downey isn’t regretting your words, are you? You know, in the business world, we really despise people who are unreliable…”
“Well, it seems that you are the one who are fucking unreliable.”
A screeching voice suddenly came from the car and directly cut Franklin’s sentence. Standing behind Hayden, Viola’s face suddenly turned pale.
Wearing a burgundy-colored high heels, a well-dressed woman stepped out of the car. She then immediately threw her Hermes bag to Franklin’s face and roared,
“Franklin, are you fucking insane? I fucking told you to stay away from this bitch right? How dare you to bring her to a banquet? Am I dead to you?”
Franklin got both afraid and awkward. Hugging his wife’s Hermes bag, he asked hurriedly, “Why are you here?”
“It’s irrelevant. The important thing is what is this whore doing here?”
Pointing at Viola next to Hayden, Franklin’s wife got furious and just flung herself to Viola.
Viola then shrieked and her hair was pulled violently.
“You fucking whore! You just love seducing my man right? Well, how about I strip you down so you can seduce more man on the street?”
“Are you fucking crazy?”
