He quickly changed the subject, "Seriously, do you want Fredric to divorce and marry Jelena?"
Aurelia shook her head. "No, I wouldn't want that. I get along with Sheryl, and there's no conflict between us. Plus, Nina and Mira are adorable. I want them to have a whole family and a happy childhood. If my opponent weren’t Jelena, I'd stand by Sheryl's side in a heartbeat, ready to join forces against the other woman."
Her tone shifted as she continued. "But it just so happens that the other woman is Jelena. I can't please either of them even if I do nothing and stay neutral. They'll both blame or resent me. If I don't stand by Sheryl, she'll think I'm secretly supporting Jelena, breaking my word. If I don't stand by Jelena, she'll think I'm heartless, not even helping my own family. What do you think I should do?"
Leopold gently stroked her hair. "I'll be the villain. If anyone's unhappy, blame it on me. Tell them it was my idea."
Aurelia fell silent. He was probably on Sheryl's side and wouldn't agree to Fredric's divorce. As the head of the family, if he used his veto power at the family meeting, Fredric wouldn't be able to divorce.
The old patriarch had used his veto power to quash Chad's thoughts of divorce.
While she pondered, Leopold suddenly swept her off her feet. "I just installed a new hot tub, perfect for a couple's bath. Let's give it a try."
Aurelia clung to his shirt. "In the future, when you go to parties, ensure you bring plenty of bodyguards to prevent any mischief."
Leopold smiled as he replied. "I'm not interested in those parties, and wherever I go, I'll take you with me."
Aurelia blinked. "If someone did try to seduce you, could you resist?"
He kicked open the bathroom door. "Most people can't except for me."
She was skeptical. "Why? Are you immune to everything?"
His smile turned wicked. "With you by my side, I am immune indeed. You're the only one who affects me."
Aurelia rolled her eyes at him. He might have more self-control than most, which was true. Otherwise, he wouldn't still be a virgin in his twenties. But being completely unaffected was impossible. She'd have to keep a close eye on him. She didn't want to deal with that kind of mess.
