Sheryl had already concocted the perfect plan to commit murder by proxy. Why on earth would she do it herself and dirty her hands?
Leopold darkened his gaze slightly. Aurelia, too, was taken aback. She had to admit Sheryl had said something a mother ought to say.
Any normal person wouldn't dream of using their child as a weapon, transforming their flesh and blood into a murderer.
They had intended to persuade Sheryl to turn herself in, yet this encounter had turned into a suspense drama.
While they pondered, Sheryl pierced the silence again, "You're Jelena's cousin, so you must know she has always been meticulous about her figure, very strict with her diet. She never touches chocolate. I'm aware of that. I've watched her streams and she often mentions her aversion to chocolate. So, if I wanted to do her in, why would I use chocolate? If she didn't eat it, she'd probably pass it to Fredric, and then wouldn't I accidentally poison Fredric instead?"
Her words captured Leopold's undivided attention.
If Sheryl was telling the truth, if someone was indeed impersonating her, then the real target must be Kane, Aurelia, and Fredric!
"I'll get to the bottom of this. In the meantime, don't leave Elysium."
Sheryl was frightened now, too scared to venture anywhere.
"This is terrifying. It's definitely a plot. You must find whoever is impersonating me. I refuse to take the fall for a murderer." said Sheryl.
Leopold and Aurelia had left,
Inside the car, Aurelia queried, "Do you believe what Sheryl said?"
