Chapter 180
Leopold’s heavy brows knitted, “The money I gave you isn’t enough?”
She stuck her tongue out at him, “I wouldn’t dare to spend Mr. Leopold’s money recklessly.”
It was a loan, and she intended to pay it back.
A hint of mockery flashed across Leopold’s face.
What could a miser love more than hoarding their money in their personal safe, cringing at the thought of spending even a dime?
Just then, Aurelia received a WhatsApp message from Arnold.
He sent her a sample of their recent ad.
Aurelia hurriedly opened it to watch it.
“Wow, every single frame is beautiful. Arno is undoubtedly one of the top photographers in the world, unmatched! The shot composition, the camera movement, it’s all just perfect!”
She praised it continuously, completely oblivious to the man across her whose face had darkened, a cold glint in his eyes.
Arnold was like a thorn in his side, causing discomfort with every mention!
“Put that away, focus on your meal,” he said, his appetite significantly dampened, his soup tasted sour.
Aurelia pouted, putting down her fork, and started typing a reply to Arnold.
[Got it, I’m eating right now, will appreciate it properly later.]
[Okay, we’ll chat when you’re done.]
A large hand stretched across the table, snatching her phone and switching it off.
How domineering and ruthless!
She was speechless, looking up in protest only to meet his icy gaze. She quickly lowered her head and continued eating.
Hmph, she would channel her frustration into her appetite, she wouldn’t stoop to his level.
Leopold’s expression didn’t improve, even after finishing his meal.
Aurelia put down her cutlery, walking quietly like a mouse, quickly grabbing her phone from the table and sneaking out of the dining room towards her room.
But her turtle–speed was nothing compared to his lightning–speed.
Before she even stepped into her room, she was wrapped in a strong arm.
Leopold was visibly annoyed, pinching her soft cheek without any restraint.
“Why are you running? Have you forgotten you’re pregnant?”
What if this scatter–brained woman fell and hurt herself? It wouldn’t be the first time!
Aurelia truly had forgotten. How could she constantly remember she was a pregnant woman who needed to tread carefully?
She gave him a sheepish smile, sitting down on the couch, “Pregnant women need regular exercise too, a few steps won’t hurt, it’s beneficial for a smooth delivery.”
Leopold walked over, looking down at her with a stern gaze, “From now on, no running!”
She took a deep, silent breath, responding with a small “okay.”
She was running because of him!
She turned on her phone, forwarding the ad to Avery, then watching it carefully again, “Avery and Sophie make quite the pair, I’m already imagining their wedding ceremony.”
Leopold’s face darkened again, “Did you also imagine yours by any chance?” There was a trace of mockery
in his tone.
Aurelia patted her baby bump, a mischievous glint in her eyes, “When I remarry, will my kids be able to be the flower children?”
A cold, murderous aura emanated from his handsome face, “Let’s see if you can find a suitor who would
