Chapter 249 

The morning sun had risen, and Aurelia felt like she was on the brink of despair. 

This man was too rude. He had not only kissed her until her lips were swollen, but he had also peppered her neck and chest with love bites. If it hadn’t been for the babies‘ timely kicks, bringing him back to his senses, he would have surely disregarded her pregnant state and had S** with her. 

In the face of such a fierce man, she was as helpless as a lamb to the slaughter. She had no power to fight back, only the option to endure him. 

Despite applying two layers of concealer, she couldn’t cover the marks on her neck. She decided to wear a scarf when she stepped out. 

As soon as she left her room, she ran into Leopold. He was wearing a royal blue robe, his hair still damp from a shower, and he smelled of a mix of fresh shower gel and expensive aftershave. He had just finished bathing. 

She had turned him on last night, keeping him awake. He had taken three cold showers and done five hundred push–ups. Seeing his marks on her neck, he felt a sudden thrill of conquest. Her body should always bear his marks, a constant reminder of who her rightful owner was. 

Aurelia, like a mouse that had spotted a cat, quickly slipped away to the patio to do her prenatal yoga. 

He followed, wrapping one arm around her while the other hand caressed the marks on her neck, “Remember to behave, or I’ll show you what happens when you don’t.” 

He slowly and deliberately voiced his threat. Such a cunning, manipulative woman could not be indulged. 

Aurelia shivered, filled with dread. Fortunately, she only had two more months before giving birth to their babies. Soon, she would be free from his grasp! 

“I need to do my yoga now.” 

He let her go, walking inside to get himself a cup of coffee before sitting on a bench to watch her with interest. 

She turned her yoga music up a notch, trying to relax. Yoga should be done without distractions. 

During breakfast, Jolin called, asking her to reserve a private dining room for an afternoon meeting with Belinda. Aurelia sighed heavily. Ritchie’s rush to buy a car and a house was probably due to Emma’s influence. 

After having some milk, she said in a low voice, “My grandmother is here. She wants to sell our ancestral home to help Ritchie buy a house. If it gets late, I might not come back.” 

Leopold glanced at her, “Do you need a lawyer?” 

Aurelia was taken aback, “I hope it won’t escalate to that. My mom is always meticulous in her dealings. When the house was built, she had it notarized. Rahul’s family can’t take advantage.” 

Leopold smirked and thought that all her cunning traits were undoubtedly inherited. 

“Tonight, I have an engagement. You can stay at Sunbeam Retreat.” 

An engagement? 

Aurelia scoffed inwardly. He must be meeting up with Evelyn. They were in the honeymoon phase of their relationship, always showing off their affection at high–society parties. 

She guessed that not long after she gave birth, he would be having a child with Evelyn. 

Aurelia reserved a private room at a French restaurant. 

Avery was busy shooting in another city, and they decided not to inform him about this, to avoid upsetting him. 

Jelena also came to support Jolin. 

Soon, Perla and Ritchie arrived with Belinda. 

Upon entering, Perla’s eyes swept across the room, her lips pursed, “What rating does this restaurant have? It’s quite low–end. Aurelia, this is Mom’s first time in Elysium. Couldn’t you have found a Michelin–starred restaurant?”
