Chapter 336
The moment Lizzy laid eyes on Leopold, she was crazy about him.
“Hey, I’m Lizzy, Lisa’s younger sister. Looks like we’re going to be family.” She flicked her shoulder–length curls and greeted him with a smile.
Leopold, however, was cold.
“We’re heading upstairs now.” With a detached tone, he wrapped an arm around Aurelia and headed for the elevator.
Aurelia could tell that Lizzy had a crush on him. Leopold was too striking, dangerously charming, a walking temptation that could lead any woman astray.
Lizzy felt a chill in her heart because she was the sweetheart in Freysland, with a beautiful face and a hot body. Men usually tripped over themselves to get her attention, and yet, Leopold didn’t even spare her a glance.
Elowen, who was always observant, could easily read her mind. She was itching to get rid of Aurelia but was also worried about creating an opportunity for others. If someone else was willing to take the fall, well, that would be just perfect.
“You might as well save your energy. As long as Aurelia is around, Leopold won’t give anyone else a second glance.”
Lizzy hummed in her mind, and she hadn’t even started her game yet. She had her ways when it came to men.
Once Aurelia was in the room, she received a message from Arnold. He was coming back home earlier. Leopold glanced at her phone and snatched it away possessively.
“You’re not going back.”
Aurelia looked up at him seriously, “There’s another reason I haven’t been back these past three years. I was injured, paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors said I might never walk again. It was Arnold who looked after me, encouraged me, and helped me to stand again. I owe him a lot. Something I can never repay in a lifetime. This is also your fault. If you had been honest with me about your plans, I wouldn’t have taken that risk in Eldoria.”
Her words cut him deep, reopening the wounds that were yet to heal. It was his fault, and he had been punished by losing her for three years.
He wanted to say something but didn’t know how. His lips moved, but he said nothing.
Aurelia took back her phone and said, “I’ve always said I’m a practical person. I don’t waste my emotions. You proposed divorce, so I left without a second thought. Now Arnold is marrying someone else, and I’ll break up with him just the same. I know when to let go, and I don’t drag things out. Now, I need to say my final goodbye to him.”

Chapter 336
Leopold pulled her into his arms, saying, “I won’t let you go again. From now on, I’ll be honest with you and be a better husband.”
She didn’t respond, quietly prying his fingers off her. She paused for a moment before slowly saying, “I don’t know what the future holds. We’ll have to wait and see.”
She wasn’t sure if their destiny left. There were many things, many people in his heart that were more important than her. She didn’t want to be abandoned again.
When Arnold arrived at Rosewood Manor, Aurelia had prepared a meal, waiting for him with William.
The moment he stepped in, William rushed into his arms, “Daddy, you’re finally back. Mommy and I missed you so much.”
