As she said this, she patted Megan on the shoulder. “Don’t take it too seriously, turn a blind eye now and then to keep Leopold content. After all, you are the heiress of a wealthy family, you can’t let yourself be outdone by a lowly gold–digger like Aurelia.” 

Hearing this, Megan felt a pang of unease. Had Leopold really changed during their six years apart? 

“Can Aurelia really stomach all the women by Leopold’s side? I find that hard to believe.” Megan couldn’t help asking. 

Melissa scoffed, “That’s the clever part about gold–diggers. She has no money, no power, and no background. If she didn’t play the part of the virtuous woman, Leopold would never have chosen her.” She paused, changing her tone, “Besides, she has no other options now. Arnold’s married. Even if he wasn’t, he’d still be a womanizer. He married Lisa and look what happened – they have a child now. Men can control everything but their own desires.” 

With that, Megan’s heart sank. She began to believe Leopold really had changed. But this wouldn’t hinder her decision to marry him, she’d eventually get rid of those vixens one by 

one. 

The night grew darker. 

In the presidential suite, Katie had already left. 

The act had played out brilliantly. 

Kevin walked in. 

He knew Mr. Leopold was doing this to divert the enemy’s attention. 

In order to protect his wife, Mr. Leopold was willing to tarnish his own image. 

But this would only deepen her misunderstanding, wouldn’t it? 

He sighed quietly, pulling out his cell phone, “This is a video taken at the party tonight.” 

Leopold had people secretly following Aurelia to ensure her absolute safety, since he couldn’t let the enemy harm her again. 

Taking the phone, Leopold’s slender fingers scrolled through the footage, stopping at a certain point.

He was most wary of Arnold. He thought that since Lisa was pregnant, Arnold couldn’t divorce, and Aurelia was temporarily safe. He didn’t expect Elvis to suddenly show up. 

He hadn’t planned for this at all.
