Aurelia replied with a calm smile, “So, you’re saying if one day Leopold falls out of love with you, you’ll step down and let the other girls take your place?” 

Megan’s face turned pale, then flushed with anger. “Leopold will never stop loving me. He said I’m the only woman he’d ever truly love. No other woman could compare to me. He said he’d love me forever.” 

Aurelia let out a chuckle. “He said the same thing to me and the other girls. Mr. Leopold is quite the charmer. We’re all his favorites, equally cherished.” 

Katie chimed in casually, “Well, we only acknowledge the first wife. As long as Aurelia’s here, she reigns supreme. Once she’s gone, every woman competes for herself. If 

possible, we can all take turns being in charge.” 

Lana and Catherine agreed enthusiastically.

Megan was seething with anger. The position of being the favorite in the Stirling family was hard–won, and she wouldn’t let these bitches take it from her. 

Aurelia, on the other hand, was much calmer. Her heart had been crushed, strangled to death by Leopold. All her hopes had been burnt to ashes by him. From now on, she wouldn’t shed a tear for him, nor would she feel pain because of him. She would never give him any more of her affection. 

“Ladies, I have gifts for you.” 

She brought out several bracelets. “With the Christmas approaching, I’d like to give you these bracelets as gifts, and they’re also a symbol of your identity within the Stirling family.” 

Each bracelet had a heart–shaped pendant, engraved with their names. 

Katie and the others were thrilled, and immediately put on their bracelets. “This bracelet is so beautiful. Thanks, Aurelia.” 

Megan shrugged, “I don’t need it. Leopold has given me so many bracelets. I can’t possibly wear them all.” 

She thought herself Leopold’s legal wife, not some cheap concubine. She wouldn’t let a divorced woman like Aurelia struggle for power. Megan believed Aurelia would eventually be kicked out.
