Chapter 535
These past few days, without Leopold, Aurelia found herself working and coming home as usual. But for some reason, she felt a certain emptiness, a dullness that she couldn't quite put her finger on.
Sometimes, loneliness wasn't just about being alone. It was about not having that special someone by her side.
She needed more than just familial love and friendship. She needed romantic love. Leopold in her heart couldn't be filled by anyone else.
One Saturday morning, Leopold arrived with Kane in tow.
He had returned home the previous night. Today, they had planned a valley camping trip, an idea proposed by the kids.
Avery had just wrapped up shooting for his new film and happened to be at home. Aurelia decided to invite him and Leah.
Avery had been swamped with work since the Christmas holidays and hadn't taken a break, so he gladly accepted the invitation.
Two RVs hit the road and they arrived at the pleasant butterfly valley.
Away from the city's lights and noise pollution, the air here was fresh, the mountains beautiful and the water pure.
William brought Chirpy along. Upon reaching the valley, the parrot felt a sense of familiarity and began singing and spreading its wings joyfully.
William chuckled. Chirpy must have picked up the lyrics from him watching the cartoon - Think I'm just a sheep, but it's just a deep disguise, wit and charm...
"Chirpy, you're a parrot, not a sheep." William said.
Chirpy said, “I'm a sheep, a happy sheep, a pretty sheep..."
Kane reached out a small hand to pat its fluffy little head.
It would be great if Chirpy could play with them but there were eagles in the valley. It could be dangerous to let it out of the cage.
Leah stepped out of the RV, stretching her arms and inhaling the fresh air. The air was a mix of earth, grass, and a hint of floral scent. It was refreshing.
Avery patted her head, knowing that he had mainly brought her out to relax. She had been constantly on set with him, filming movies, shooting commercials, recording variety shows, and rarely had time off.
Butterfly Valley was, of course, a paradise for butterflies. Gorgeous butterflies could be seen fluttering among the flowers. By nightfall, there would be fireflies.
