Chapter 537
Leah crossed her arms, lost in thought for a moment before she suddenly slammed the table, "That could be it.
I remember when Skyler came back from Tanya's house once, his hand was bitten by some poisonous insect and it got seriously infected. Tanya was so careless to let such a person stay in her house and bully him.
Leopold stroked his chin, a look of concern on his face, "What worries me more is that he might be mentally manipulating Skyler behind the scenes. Remember how you said all of Skyler's pets mysteriously died? This could be his doing, threatening Skyler to do as he says."
“You're onto something, Leopold. This man must have ulterior motives. He might be plotting against Tanya or the Heninger family. I'll send someone to investigate right away. Leah immediately took out her phone to instruct her contacts to secretly investigate this nefarious character named Geoffrey.
Leopold cracked a sly smile, "I didn't know you had a lot of connections."
Leah stuck her tongue out, “As they say, you can't judge a book by its cover."
Leopold cautioned, “We need to handle this without alerting him. If you find anything, let me know immediately."
"Got it.” Leah nodded, “Don't worry. I know what I'm doing."
From a far-off flower bed, Avery waved them over, “Leah, hurry up. We're about to explore the valley."
"OK." Leah got up and ran over, with Leopold following behind. They crossed the flower bed to find a stream.
The babbling brook was crystal clear.
"Let's start exploring,’ William announced with excitement. He loved adventures.
“Be careful. The rocks are slippery,’ Kane warned.
Ahead was a narrow path, sandwiched between two rocky hillsides, only wide enough for one person to pass through.
Leopold led the way with two bodyguards, one at the front and one at the back.
After crossing the valley, they found another flower bed.
The flowers here bloomed vibrantly, their fiery red hue reminiscent of a blazing fire.
Halfway through their journey, they saw a shadowy figure darting towards them from afar.
