Chapter 664
Leopold spread his hands with a dismissive shrug, "Learning that stuff is pointless for me."
Oh really? Aurelia was seriously skeptical. Every time Leopold wanted to play his tricks, her body would go limp like a spell had been cast, soft as a clump of cotton, leaving her powerless to resist his advances. She was left at his mercy, vulnerable to his whims.
Could it be some sort of hypnotic spell he had cast on her?
"Regardless of whether you can or can't do it, don't you dare use it on me. Or else, I'll block you for life."
Leopold smiled slyly. "I'm not a fan of force. I prefer when you come back into my arms willingly."
Aurelia glared in his direction, “Since you know how to defend hypnosis, you better teach me, so I don't fall prey to it by accident."
He reached out with his strong arm, drawing her slender waist closer. "Every day after work, we'll find a quiet place where you can learn properly."
There was a catch, of course—lessons weren't free.
On Saturday, Leah rose early and headed to Aurelia's villa. She had to get her program all set for today's date.
She put on a lake-blue long dress, wearing a fresh and delicate makeup, making her look like a wave in the sea, like the first hint of light blue in the early morning sky. She was so pure and lovely, as beautiful as a painting, vibrant yet fresh, soft, dreamy, misty, ethereal, serene, and elegant.
When noon approached, Avery arrived.
The moment he stepped in, a delightful aroma filled his nostrils. He strode into the kitchen and was surprised to find Leah cooking with ease—a stark contrast to her usual self, who struggled with even frying an egg.
“When did you learn how to cook?"
Leah turned with a radiant smile, “Just picked it up. I wanted you to taste a dinner I made myself. It's the only way this practice date will feel meaningful."
Avery reached out, tenderly stroking her hair, ‘It's just a one-day trial run, no need to take it too seriously."
