He pulled her into his embrace, his grip on her as unyielding as a vice. The last time they were on the cruise, she had ruffled his feathers, and his mood still hadn't settled.
"I got hot under the collar because of you on that deck, and I'm still mad. How do you plan to make it up to me?"
Aurelia choked on her words. "Should I return and come over after you've cooled down?"
Leopold reclined the chair and pinned her beneath him with a swift movement.
"Do you know how you should make it up to me?"
He could only amplify his presence and make him feel better by getting himself into her fiercely.
After a violent encounter, Aurelia wore out and sprawled across the seat, too spent to move.
His long fingers trailed over her smooth skin, his face wearing a look of satiation.
His unchecked release finally lifted the gloom from his heart.
No matter where her heart lay or whom it harbored, she was his and his alone.
Aurelia pulled up the blanket to cover herself and took a brief respite. Then she said softly, "Soon, Tanya and Geoffrey will get uneasy and send someone to check on you."
Leopold's lips curved into a predatory and cold smile. "How can we play the game if they don't come?"
Aurelia smirked. "I hope it's a game worth watching."
After a brief silence, Leopold took out a sample.
"This is a sample of the Grim Reaper's poison. Give it to Skyler to see if he knows what it's made of and if he can figure out an antidote."
"Alright." Aurelia stashed the sample in her bag.
Sky-Will's lab was well-equipped.
Skyler could conduct his research directly there.
If Kane became the head of the family, Aurelia might forsake her happiness and leave him for her son Kane.
Magnolia trembled as if struck by a bullet.
"All these years, everything I've done was for you. How can you walk away like that? Do I mean nothing to you?" She shouted.
"You were never doing it for me. It was all for your desires. If it were for me, you wouldn't have lied to me and forced me to leave the woman I love."
Arnold's accusation came with anger.
If he hadn’t decided to marry Lisa to save her, he wouldn't have broken Aurelia's heart, and she would never have returned to Leopold.
Magnolia was on the brink of madness. "Aurelia, Aurelia, Aurelia! That's all you think about! What's so good about that woman that you're head over heels, huh?"
Arnold looked at her with solemn intensity. "Aurelia is the best woman in the world. She’s irreplaceable. All I want is Aurelia. Nothing else matters."
