The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold) novel Chapter 795

Sniffling, Lisa felt a wellspring of injustice in her heart, "I get it. I'll be more careful from now on."

Aurelia picked up a soft tissue and gently wiped away the tears streaking Lisa's face, "You're still in your postpartum recovery. Please, no more crying, it could hurt your eyes. If anything bothers you, just give me a call, okay?"

Nova, who'd been napping, woke up with a hungry cry that filled the room.

Aurelia asked the nanny to prepare some probiotic drops to settle Nova's tummy before feeding, "This should prevent any spit-ups," she explained.

Carefully lifting Nova, Aurelia offered her a sugar drop on a pacifier.

She cradled Nova so comfortably that she stopped crying instantly, suckling contentedly.

Beverley chuckled, "Aurelia, I swear, kids just gravitate towards you. From newborns to big kids like Skyler, they all seem to take to you."

Aurelia offered a warm smile, "Kids may be small, but their instincts are sharper than adults, and they know who means well and who genuinely cares for them. As people grow up, they lose that sense, and it becomes hard to discern the phony from the sincere."

Pouting, Beverley shook her head, "True enough. People are a puzzle, you can know their faces but not their hearts."

Arnold watched Aurelia with a quiet intensity. She was the epitome of the perfect wife, the mother for his children, unmatched by any woman.

Lisa lacked her strength, her wisdom, and her composure.

After the probiotic feeding, Aurelia held Nova upright, gently patting her to burp.

"Lisa, always make sure to do this after feeds. It helps prevent discomfort and spit-up."

"Okay, got it," Lisa nodded, absorbing the advice.

Aurelia cradled Nova once more, stroking her head. The fever had subsided.

"Nova, let's take a little nap before your next feed, okay?"

"Aurelia, maybe you should take her. She prefers you."

Aurelia took Nova back with a smile, and Nova instantly settled down, comforted by her tender hold.

"Nova's not feeling well today, so she's a bit clingy. Once she's better, give her more cuddles, and she'll warm up to you."

"Maybe," Arnold shrugged, "When William was sick, he'd only calm down in my arms."

Hearing this, Lisa's spirits sank, her eyes brimming with fresh tears, threatening to spill over.

"I'll go prepare some snacks for you," she said, hastily retreating to the kitchen before Arnold could reply.

Noticing Lisa's distress, Aurelia waited until Nova was sleeping soundly in the cradle, then asked Arnold and Beverley to keep an eye on her as she followed Lisa into the kitchen.
